Glad I watched this before starting the game. First thing I did was turn on analog control. Thanks Brad!

Honestly, a bit too graphic for my delicate tastes.  Ugh!

You can move to the side of the car with the wheel without getting out of the car, at least in the PC version.

More importantly,
If you have the PC version, I HIGHLY suggest taking the advice of this man. This is yet another game where the devs never felt the need to add a vsync option, and never capped the FPS. I was wondering why my room was becoming a human oven when playing this game, and out of concern for burning out my equipment ended up taking a look. Lo and behold, while I knew there was no vsync, there's no FPS cap either so your system can run wild and severely overheat. So yeah, public service announcement to enable vsync (directions to do so in the link above)

I dont know why Brad is so excided about this game, I played it on a good PC with a xbox controler and it is repetitive garbage, the only thing that looks good is how some zombies die.Once you are fighting with analog controls you cant move the camera anymore.

You can find some cool things  ( like a zombie tied to a bed because she was filming a porno) but you have to go true so mutch crap to see those things that it is just not rewarding ennuf.

Watching some one playing is, in my opinion, the best way to enjoy this game.

@Kordesh: 80 c on a 570 is regular operating temperature , nothing strange at all ( as long as we're talking stock cooler here )

most highend cards are actually around 80-85 these days. unless they arent being pushed. the reason for his fan spinning up is probably because the fan curve is too agressive. Nvidia states that 105c is the maximum operating temp for a 570 , so there's a lot of margin .

however , im all for a framecap (at around 120+ fps) , vsync on the other hand sometimes causes the mouse input feel delayed.

all in all , its not really that mad or dangerous from techlands side to have skipped the framecap even though it would have been great had they put one in

as a reference, l4d2's framecap lies at 300 fps. ( i know cause im hitting it )

@Devildoll: I'm aware the operating temperature they talk about is fine, I was more referencing the post to show people how to enable Vsync etc should they want to. That being said, it's typically less than desirable to have your GPU at full bore to grind out frames you don't need. It's not going to do wonders for the life of the hardware. More importantly, and in my case, it can make playing the game unbearable. The game may not run as smooth with vsync on, but at least I can play the game for longer than 30minutes without having to worry about getting heatstroke because it's 80degrees outside and my computer has become a maxed out space heater.

If you want vsync on any and every pc game you should probably just be using d3doverider anyway. Triple buffering and vsync so if you drop frames you suddenly don't shoot down to 30 because most implementations of vsync require a framreate to be evenly divided into 60, double buffering. I let that program take care of all my vsync needs and always have it turned off in games.

I played an hour+ and had fun. It wasn't super scary but I'm pretty tense the whole time playing, singleplayer. I went to analog too for a slightly more realistic way of playing if anything. Gives a different feel and weight to the weapons. First person melee is so bad in most ganes I like it, but if you have to be "the best at all times" then you won't like it because it's simply not as quick to get hits off.

A good enough game but sadly not polished enough to make it exceptional. Also, boring characters and plot and not so great voice acting. They can't do anything about those last few things but hopefully some patches will sort out the disappointing kinks in time.

Mount & Blade does the exact sort of analog combat with a mouse. Not that hard.

This would be so much better without the zombies. Irrational, zombie loving teenagers and gamers are idiots. But, then again, Techland is a terrible studio. So I'm sure they don't have a single creative or memorable enemy or creature design, or scenario, in them. Naturally, I'm sure they'll be rewarded for this sh** with unbelievable sales. Next to terrorists, zombies are the no.1 most stupid thing in gaming today....and morons eat 'em up mindlessly all the time. *sigh*

You seem fun.

You can totaly move over if you get in the wrong side of a vehicle, Brad. You just have to press right on the left stick.

I find the way the camera movies in this game and the motion blur very nauseating.. I've never had any form of motion sickness in my life yet this game makes me feel sick to my stomach. Anyone else getting a similar thing? I managed to deal with a good 8 hours of it before it just got too much and I shelved it for a later date. I presume there's a way to turn the motion blur off in the PC version?
