@onthezero: there were. the perks on the sparrows are random and i def had one of those in the base Destiny 2 game and Destiny 1, now that i think about it.

@onthezero: There are, the perks on sparrows are random though. It pretty much ended up being the only perk anybody ever wanted. There's also a few ghosts that have this perk and make all sparrows instant summon.

I look forward to all the arguments Destiny 2: Forsaken will cause in Giant Bomb's Best of 2018 deliberations.

I'm torn, because I don't actually want to get back into Destiny, but every time I watch a GB Destiny video I get back into Destiny. On the other hand, I wanna know what Brad and Jeff think about Destiny. It's quite a pickle.

@onthezero: Yup, instant sparrow is a random perk since day one. I hate it. I'd rather have reloads all guns. If I still enjoyed the game.

@lazycon: It's the only sparrow perk I use, except when I have the exotic ghost shell that gives you it. Why do you hate it?

No need to fear Brad, they give you daily opportunities to get Powerful Engrams and the Flashpoint and everything reset every 4 days now. No more twiddling your thumbs if you want to keep playing, pretty much always something to work towards.

@onthezero: I'm the same way, I like the weapon reload perk. The time to summon your sparrow without that perk is so short anyway. I was always confused as to why that was such an annoyance for some people.

Man... I want to like Destiny a lot. But it's never left anything but a bad taste in my mouth.

The only Destiny I've played was the beta of the first, and it's a trip seeing that Halo Battle Rifle reticle in another series lol

Its time for everyone who was disappointed with destiny 2 and all its dlc to forget that and get hype for more destiny 2.

The screen switching was pretty sweet. Kept the action on the screen all the time.

One of the worst feelings I ever had playing a video game was playing Destiny 2 for free while they were screwing over their customers. Never again.

Talk about developers with shitty opinions.

I'd love to see you guys do the raid(s) again, and fully support you not going in blind to save yourselves time and sanity.

Tip for people tuning in before playing: Dip out around the 36 min mark after they finish Gambit if you want to keep an endgame area under wraps 'til you get there.

I wouldn't call it a spoiler or anything. It's just one of those things that, to me, is more enjoyable to get to and see for oneself first.

That's not actually how it works. Although to be fair, it's not explained anywhere in-game, and the explanation they gave in their weekly update on Thursday was... less than clear.

How it actually works is that the Flashpoint, Nightfall and weekly strike/crucible milestones (plus a new one for the heroic story missions, and I think one for Gambit, and maybe some other stuff) are still weekly as usual, resetting on Tuesdays, but that one additional challenge will pop up every day at reset, alternating between strikes, crucible, gambit, and a heroic adventure on the flashpoint planet, and those will stay available for up to four days if you don't complete them on the day they pop up.

The only problem is that none of this is actually explained in-game, and the daily challenges don't actually say when they're going to expire, so you can't prioritise the ones that need dealing with earlier. Bungie are apparently aware that this isn't ideal, so they're working on a solution. Unfortunately their idea of a solution is a calendar on their website, rather than just adding a line at the bottom of the tooltip for each challenge saying when it expires...

I've been enjoying this expansion, but holy hell the load times are an atrocity.

Bungie could include Cyberpunk 2077 and the finished product of Star Citizen into Destiny 2 or 3 and I still won't buy their game. I will never forgive them or fall for their trap ever again. There is no way I can support Destiny in any capacity when their corporate atmosphere is to take advantage of the consumers in a malicious way with an inferior product. Every single DLC for Destiny has been...'man this is great, they should have done this from the start...they've changed! there totally fixing the game now' How many god damn fucking times have we heard this already? from the community and the people who review theses? With the Destiny community it's fool me thrice, I will keep giving you chances...

Man, I haven't play Destiny in forever. Sometime back during Destiny 1 era but I gotta say, the shooting still looks all kinds of good. I'd argue some of the most satisfying ever.

I haven't touched the game since last November, but have followed the developments and releases. Comparing what the game launched as to this, it's apparent they needed 10-12 months of extra development time.

I really hope we get to see Giant bomb raiding action!

I recently started up a hunter in Destiny 1, can't wait to carry him over into 2 and experience all of this content!

£35 for an expansion that I need £15 of expansions (that are generally regarded as shite) in order to play? I grabbed D2 on psplus but I'm not giving them £50 to make it somewhat bearable. I'd rather play QUBE.

Would have been nice to have more content for Destiny 2 since the base game was such a bare bones cash grab of next to nothing. Figures they keep on charging absurd amounts for what really should all just be free patch content.

Bungie and their monetization practices within the Destiny series makes me feel absolutely filthy.

I always love how people blow up questionable DLC/MT practices nearly to the level of war crimes. How do they feel about paying $13/mo for the privilege to play WoW? Personally I would put in in perspective and/or find something a lot more important to be mad about if you must be mad. Yes it's a bad thing to an extent but people aren't being physically harmed or dying from it.

This looks good; yes most of it should have been there to begin with. It's also funny how history has repeated itself (though, being a fairweather fan I'm not sure if all the details but it really seemed like people were all "Destiny 2 was what Destiny should have been to begin with!" when it released.)

Love the GB raid streams, really hope they do The Last Wish.

Instant sparrows are not new to Forsaken. I bought Destiny 2 back around May and I've got a few sparrows that have the perk to summon instantly.

Yeah the first sparrow I ever got on day 1 of the game's release had instant summon.

Hay guise did anyone know that instant-mount on Sparrows has always been in-game?! I haven't seen anyone else mention this in the comments, sooo....

The new PvP mode seems neat and (and is hell of a lot more thought-out than the stock Destiny PvP deathmatch mode Bungie just farted out because Marketing demanded it), but yeah -- with their continued trend of "lookit our all-new enemies! Well ok they're still exactly the same as our old enemies from our other game from 4 years ago with a different color palette" and the main draw of their expansions seeingly being "moar lewt", I still can't justify getting into it.

@chrjz: Because it doesn't' add anything to gameplay. It's insulting really that that's a perk instead of an every sparrow thing. Automatically reloading guns is way better. After a fight I could just hop on then be ready for the next one.

@onthezero: I know. It's so strange. People used to always want that perk and it baffled me. It's really just insulting that it's an option. Either have all sparrows go instantly or none. It's not a perk. I'd rather have my guns reloaded
