Honestly, I just want a DBZ that plays like Marvel vs. Capcom games. If you took UMvC3, made it one-on-one and replaced the existing characters with DBZ ones, I would be interested.

A quick look to watch. Haven't watched one in a while.

.i use to like DBZ when i was younger...and i kinda have an urge to play this game. Would be way better if they did a Tenkaichi endurance run though =P

Uh, they brought the worst part about Budokai 3 back? They left the Dragon Rush stuff out of the revised version of 3 out.. I don't even know.

I still love DBZ.

I can't tell if this is awesome or not, but I did have a bit of a nostalgia overload here. I think I stopped watching when it took an entire episode for Goku to charge up an attack.

Though, yea, it's hard to tell but it does look like advanced rock/paper/scissors at most but I hope it's more complex than that. They've got all the flash and spectacle down pretty well though. The cutscene animations are lazy at best though. I think 2D sprites would serve this series a whole lot better.

even tough i love DB and DBZ i can say that i don't want to watch or play anything dragon ball related except for these quicklooks

Yeah, I agree. Everyone just looks to be varying degrees of terrible. The DBZ story might be awesome, but I just cant get past the art style. I've not played any of the recent Dragon Quest games for this same reason.

I love how this game got a 51 minute quick look despite the fact that, like every other DBZ fighting game, it's a style over substance retelling of the exact same story which originally ended in 1996 with the same lackluster shallow gameplay.

It's Goku son of Goku who is father of Goku and adopted grandfather of Goku and Goku Jr.

Ryan tried so hard to end it but looking at the running time I knew it wasn't happening.

Loved the shit out of DBZ as a kid and still do. The past few games weren't so good but this looks ok, I may pick it up when it drops bellow $30 so I can feel young again. :p

The shot continuity is terrible.

I'm tired of all these DragonBall Z games retelling the same story over and over. They should make up something new. Create their own villains for Goku and pals to thwart. Supersonic Warriors for the game boy advance played with the regular story and it was refreshing.

Man, that opening scene looks really nice.

i missed DB GT even though it was crazier a not really cannon by Toriyama

Came here to say the same thing. Man, that was a legitimately great game that balanced the crazy moves with actually letting you retain control of the characters at the same time. Really, really loved that game and even the PSP spin offs to some extent.

Never played another DBZ game since - doesn't seem like I'm missing out on much although this one looks sort of cool, at least visually. Could be fun for a while.
