I'm loving this new fighting system. The Tenkaichi fly around in 360 degree against an invisible web wall was just awful. Not to mention the controls were complicated just to move around. Seems like the devs took a look at the excellent Budokai games, simplified that fighting system even more and made it flashier.

Can't wait to get this!

God, all this quicklook does is remind me of how much I loved the DBZ franchise when I was younger.

I'm buzzing with sheer nostalgia. It's amazing!

I deny this HD remake of dragon ball it looks terrible. Its all about the original.

I am one of those people that love unlocking characters in fighting games, and Dragon Ball z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for wii was awesome in that it had pretty much EVERY single character ever to appear in DBZ/GT. The "story mode" was a bit random, but it was pretty fast-paced and fu as far as I can remember.

This one was a bit too slow for my taste.. I apreaciate the effort of makig the animated parts, but it the pace felt off. I prefer the old style of lying aroud (not havig had a hands-on try of this method though) and the massive amount of characters from the DBZ:BT2 game... I also felt that had more individuality to the way each character played..? I might be remembering badly..

Heh, Nappa's voice sounds all wrong, guess I got too used to Team Fourstar Nappa.

A testament maybe to the quality of the voices, Vegeta especially is my favorite.

That "over 9000" was weak. Should have animated the scouter being crushed.

Just give me a proper Budokai 4 please.

Those character models look like shit and the cell shading is fucking ugly. Why can't they just remake Budokai 3 in the Burst Limit engine? Why is that so hard?! Just add online and all the dudes you want and you're done.

It's always a joy watching Vinny and Ryan play Dragon Ball games but I wouldn't pay more than $10 for this game.

While I think Budokai 3 is a great game, I had a ton of fun with Tenkaichi 2 for the Wii.

Sure it had weird controls that took a while to get used to and the behind the back perspective is a little clunky, but it captures more of the feel of the show to have a whole arena to fight in as opposed to a single 2D plane.

Still, though. I can't imagine that the controls that I eventually got to like on the Wii are much easier on a gamepad.

Voice acting is absymal. Sounded like Vegeta was just slightly irritated in the over 9000 scene.

Oh holy shit, this actually looks kinda slick.

I am really liking the destructible terrain and the big holes in the ground they make! That's actually really neat! And not necessarily something the previous games had, if I'm remembering correctly.

I'm really confused with the "Next gen" DBZ games. All of the PS2 games tried harder and harder to make the games look like it was literally the cartoon but you could control it(textures/cel shading), but all of the Next Gen games have gone wonky, and look worse, almost. The heck.

But can you play as Hercule and do "I've got a present for you"? If not, I'm out.

I don't understand why this game is so ugly, they never used to look this bad.

I love quick looks and all, but you should really get people who have actual interest in a game they doing a quick look on, because i don't quite enjoy 2 people who have 0 interest in something and sit there and bash it for 30 minutes.

Wow, the visuals are impressive and the animation looks pretty cool. Well...besides the nonexistent facial animations.

I actually can't wait to get this.

I feel confused.  Like I used to be a DBZ fan and I'm still extremely confused about EVERYTHING Ryan and Vinny said at the beginning.

Still really like Budokai Tenkaichi 3. It was dumb but fun.

ummmm, different voice actors probably because of DBZ Kai? Whatever the case, Gohan's voice still annoys me.

This doesn't really seem like a fighting game, it seems like the matches just revolve completely around one or two little games of chance.

Almost. But there would be nothing wrong with that, RE menu sounds always spark some sort of nostalgia for me.

I remember some DBZ game I played on the PS2 where there were fights that were purposely made hard so you would lose them, but if you could win then it would unlock an alternate storyline that you could go through where your character won that fight, and I thought that it was really awesome. I wish they had done more stuff like that than "yo you got a dude and he can go around and fight dudes for reasons".

Also the combat looks mad boring. Really don't like the rock-paper-scissors stuff.

I'm only 20 minutes into the QL, but this barely looks like a fighting game. It comes across as some kind of DBZ sim, which is maybe awesome for some people but sounds boring as fuck to me. Too bad, because I haven't played a DBZ game since the PS2 days and was thinking about picking this up. I love the look of it and all of those new animated scenes seem cool.
