Quick Look: Euro Truck Simulator 2

Hearing Danish radio was sort of freaking me out (Dane here).

Anyway, the weird thing about this is that the game seems to actually be pretty awesome at what it aims to be. I can't see my self ever playing it, but if you like the idea of driving a truck, this is probably pretty bitching.

Saw the end of this live & missed out on quite a lot. When I saw the amazing screenshot for the video & had me wondering how the hell they did that, I was laughing hysterically when that moment happened about 15 min in. Probably sold a ton of people on GB into playing this while crashing. Would be nice on the game's website to have links to the radio stations in the game to listen to while playing other games, very curious on those Euro radio stations they put in this (need to check on the website for this crazy sim game after the quick look).

You guys do realize that he's putting up lots of content? (Jar-Time which is pretty much the only "regular" premium content and all the Encyclopedia: Bombastica stuff).
 
QL was amazing, by the way.

I'm calling it right now, quick look of the year! I wish they had a feature where Vinny, Drew and Dave or Alexis just play simulation games. I don't care, make it a subscriber only feature, but it would produce gold! Also, the game looks pretty good, I might try it out.

I've played the (very generous) demo of this. It really is oddly relaxing and entertaining to play. Test Drive Unlimited-ish.

I came and went from the stream last night but this is such a fantastic Quick Look. Even though we are only four days into the year, we have an early contender for QL of the year.

The first few videos so far in 2013 is a great promising start of the year :D Fucking brilliant!

Back up your hard drive by making an image of it before you start messing around with random .exes from the internet. I personally use Ghost at home & work and do disk to disk images. This way you can revert right back to a safe image after your OS gets all sorts of infected.

Trust me, it's GREAT. I've been putting around France all morning. My wife sat with me, and we listened to her hometown French radio station and she remarked how realistic the maps are.

Disregarding how incredible this QL is, I have to say, the game actually looks really spectacular for what it is. Seems like a really solid sim. Environments look realistic in a video game kinda way, the truck looks like it feels like a truck should... And if it's got all those places in Europe represented, that's a pretty thorough world they must've built. Streaming actual European radio into the game is a stroke of genius, too. I wonder what the chances are of seeing Scandinavia represented in Euro Trucker 3... I could pretend to do what some of my friends do for a living!

These sim videos are awesome, but the "3 guys who run a website have no idea how to work a computer" act is pretty convincing too.

I had this Chinese game cheat thing" beta" that I found while looking up Warcraft 3 beta client. It's still working wonderiously on every game I'd tried with it.

HEH sounds good. The radio stuff was amazing. More games need to use streaming real radio stations !
