This looks like an interesting game, I might try to play this for my youtube channel.

I've been eyeing this on Steam for awhile. It looks really neat, I'll probably pick it up.

This game is very front loaded with all the cool things unfortunately. Honestly it's not worth the price. It's not terrible, but I wish there was more to it.

A friend of mine bought this and his been raving about it. I was hoping for a quick look, glad there is one.

Also, it's kind of hilarious/frustrating how oblivious Brad can be sometimes. Brad, you've got a sword, obviously you need to buy armor to get through, not another sword. Come on.

The way how brad plays is pretty bad for quick looks.

Never try out magic, probably thinking what if I need the mana later.

Just downloaded this from GOG. Seems fun so far.

Yeah, he always, always goes out of his way to get collectibles and it always ends up being boring, he'll constantly refuse to show off features of the game because he doesn't want to mess up his save, and a lot of times his quick look partner will suggest he do things or show off certain things and he'll just brush it off with "nahhh" or something.

Jeff doesn't like Chipotle, yet he likes tacos filled with "meat product".

Looks cool but I'm not really sure if it looks like it's worth €8,99...

First field area reminds me of a flash game i played. Was it the same one? Was a great 30 min. game.

It's an interesting idea, but I wonder if it ever becomes an actually compelling game, or does it just remain a demonstration whose sole purpose is to teach us about the world's most popular RPGs that we're probably familiar with anyway?

That overworld music sounds a ton like a song that plays on my job's muzak station. No idea what it is though, since it isn't my cup of tea. Curious if anyone else recognizes it.

@forteexe21: There's an Evoland Classic flash game, which was born out of a Ludum Dare game jam, and became this.

I'm glad this and DLC Quest got mentioned here. I really enjoyed both.

One of the art styles basically makes it look like Torchlight =/

But once it gets toward the endings the game devolves into a very traditional jRPG end game if you want to find everything in the game. Personally I'd wait til it goes on sale for 50 or 75%. It's not a terrible game and has a lot of fun references, but it's about a 2 to 5 hour jRPG/Zelda-style experience.

Retro!

Am i the only who can't play GB videos? its been like 2 days now. tried 3 different browsers and restarted everything that can be restarted.

god fucking damnit. Every other video player I can find on the internet works just fine.. and GB even works fine on my iphone.. what the hell is going on.

Edit2: I got it to work on chrome.. i dunno what the fucks going on but whatever.

Oh look, it's another hipster "retro" game with pixel art and a silly gimmick that gets boring in 10 seconds and has no gameplay.

This is a fun idea, but I'm a little leery of purchasing "experiences"

Especially at this pricetag.

I really can't stand random encounters anymore so i'll pass on this one.

I was enjoying it... until the in-town music loop.

Eh, hate to say it but after seeing it in action I'm less interested. Seeing most of the innovations being unceremoniously dumped out in the first 5 minutes was a bummer.

I want to try these Jack In The Box tacos that I hear so much about, but the closest Jack In The Box is at the other end of Ohio.

Yeah, that was eye-rollingly on-the-nose.

The one thing I will order at Jack in Box is the ultimate sausage combo breakfast with orange juice, though I used to like the sausage croissant also. Take it home, put a little very mild horseradish flavored spread on it, very good.

I may buy this game. RPG's are not in my experience, except for Zelda decades ago.

The first 5 minutes looks great, then it goes generic as hell after that. It's a great idea, but I'd like a game to go through the process more slowly so you could savour each section. Especially as once it reaches the final form it's kind of crappy looking. There are a TON of retro style RPG games doing the rounds, but and the one unique hook this game has gets swept through way too quickly.

This game is heavy on indiepixels.

I want this to keep going till it eventually evolves into something like ff13, but i guess that would require abit larger of a budget, it was neat while it lasted.

Agreed, this game looked way cooler at the very beginning. If most of the game was like that, I would be in.

I was watching my coworker play this yesterday. It looks cool and all but yeah, it seemed like he progressed through a huge chunk of it over the span of 10 minutes.

4 minutes in and I'm sold, don't think I wanna ge more of it spoiled. It moves a bit fast with the "improvements" though...

The pixels flying away when destroyed reminds me of 3D Dot Game Heroes. In fact the whole game first five minutes just seems to be 2D Dot Game Heroes. Not that I'm complaining, I love these retro throwbacks.

I upvoted this on Greenlight but it looks like the evolution happens too quickly and it doesn't look like the gimmick is backed up by the gameplay.

JItB Tacos are pretty damn good and have been around alot longer than 15 years.
