Oh man, I was already hyped for this game and this shows that much more. Already pre-ordered the day it was available but can't wait!

Hope this game has some depth to it and its not just a scrolling shooter with physics and a somewhat open ended area. This is because im a HUGE fan of exactly the types of things used as inspiration of this game. If the ship can transform into a Macross or Gundam mobile suit later in the game, Ill buy it right now!

I bought a Vita over a year ago, at least 25% of the reason was for this game....Looks like 17-bit is gonna make me spend more $ on a PS4. SF5 and Persona 5 here I come too....

What does the "EX" actually stand for? I know it means the developer is present, but what do the specific letters mean??

They originally wanted to call them "Super Ultra Quick Look Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX", but it was causing SEO problems.... True story.

Extra. Comes from the use of "EX" in some Special moves in fighting games, particularly Capcom's Street Fighter and Darkstalker series. For example, with Ryu, you can input a quarter circle forward + Punch button to get a fireball, but if you use TWO punch buttons, you get an EX fireball in the SF3 and SF4 series. By adding the EXTRA button, you get a fireball that has EXTRA properties (e.g., does more damage, hits more times, causes a knockdown, etc).

In this case, the Quick Look is EX because it has the EXTRA guests (devs) on it.

Some games refer to the E as Enhanced. Could be that the X is used as a convention of shortening the word, or to just sound cool.

Are Far Cry and Halo really considered the pinnacle of AI? Far Cry's soldiers are pretty dumb, and Halo AI basically cheats on legendary.

9 minutes to gameplay if people are curious; developers talking about their own game tend to be bland as shit without gameplay (almost by necessity).

Really excited for this! Also - read a Jake Kazdal career reflection in Edge a couple of months ago and he seems like a really awesome guy.

Looks like one of those few games that has it all. Great emergent gameplay, lots of style and polished to a sheen. Definitely interested in playing this.

Finally.

Uh. It might have been a good idea to let people know about this feature that would draw in a lot of interest. Secrets just for the sake of keeping a secret doesn't make a lot of sense.
