Part of me really wants to play this but the other part knows it's isn't as fun on your own.

Huh? This is the best game of the year so far. I have probably 80+ hours in it. The game is more fun to play than watch. Completing all the challenges is extremely satisfying.

I don't doubt it but I don't know if I can bring myself to play all of it. On my own I would just stealth my way up to a dude, throw a knife in his face and book it.

I see where you are coming from but that's not the fun of the game. If you want to kill the targets in the easiest way possible you start with the sniper rifle and in most levels you can take out all of the targets without getting anywhere close to them. That is fun but you're missing out on everything else the game has to offer. Like I said, the game is fun when you try to complete all the challenges like kill target A in this way, or kill target A in this other way. It's like a puzzle trying to figure out how to complete them. If your at all interested I'd pay the $10 for Paris and see if you like it. If you don't, you lost $10, if you do, you found the best game of the year.

I mean, I've been watching Dan and Brad from the beginning and everything looks fantastic but my point is more that playing alone doesn't seem to be as great because, it looks way more fun if you could play and laugh with somebody when the dumb things happen etc.

Brad is such a pro at this that he even made sure that it was a neat 1 hour package.

I wish you guys would do one more play through. Show off one more opportunity, like the audio recording of what really happened between Cross and his dead girlfriend, which is super emotional and intense... It's the highlight of the season so far. Google search Hitman sitting Cross' chair and confronting him, then make another quick look, please? If not, I'm looking forward to the next ET.

I think I finally found my reason to play Hitman, which is to dress up 47 in the silliest outfits possible.

@pkmango7: there are a number of silly outfits in every level. That is my favorite part too. The drummer's hipster outfit is outstanding; one of the best. Not all he outfits are as easy to find.

I like the part where Brad was trying to get from one side of the building to the other, and didn't notice the door he was looking directly at. It DID look like a window a bit, but it had a glowing green exit sign right above it. He was looking directly at it. So frustrating.

As a drafstman, it was painful to watch them stare at a floor plan and not recognise it as an opening. However, it was interesting to see them rely on a map to decide where to go instead of actually looking out the windows :P

Dan and Brad - once you've unlocked the exploding cell phone, I definitely recommend trying it out on the Summer Bonus Marrakesh mission (A House Built on Sand). Helps makes the point that people really shouldn't answer cell phones during business meetings.

@brad just a tip when you get caught trespassing almost always if you remain still when you are caught they will just escort out of the trespass zone instead of turning hostile! Keep up the awesome videos!

Blood Money was one of my favorite games of all time. After seeing up to the last summer mission (the movie set) I was dying to play this game from watching Giant Bomb. After purchasing it I've done a few of the elusive missions but I am still not even past Sapienza or Marrakesh! I can't even believe there is Bangkok at this point. This game is riddled with content for only having a few levels, kudos to the level designers as that is one of the biggest accomplishments of this game as well as Blood Money - just excellent level design (short of maybe the first few levels in Blood Money but Columbia / The Opera House / Heaven|Hell are some of the funnest levels.

Can't recommend this game enough! It is easy to put 20-30 hours in and not even get past one level. I spent 5+ hours on the tutorial alone. Can't wait to see how this one ends because a few of their live elusive targets have ended with a very loud sigh.

I think the maps are getting mroe and more difficult. This map is a lot harder than others. Your disguises aren't fool proof. There is a lot to do in this map, but if Brad and Dan don't want to do opportunities then it's going to look boring.

I might pick this up after the season is over. This game is slowly looking like it's going to be better than Hitman: Blood Money, the best game in the series.

And well done again, Brad. You're suppose to suck at video games.

I really like that this level has ramped up the difficulty and made more opportunities that require several steps. I also enjoy the connections among characters within the level and between the various levels.

But there are plenty of easy things, like getting to walk all the way into your own hotel room in your suit because you are a guest, which I found awesome even though I felt twitchy the entire time just walking through the hotel in my suit.

Awesome tagline. Kickass song.

For those who are wondering.

In case no one else has mentioned this yet - for those who were wondering the song is from a musical called Chess (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7NhOb1CbHs&list=PL65F4A99DB2E9570A) it is actually a pretty good musical and is worth checking out to learn about what it was like for smaller countries during the cold war. I was born in America in 78 so I lived through the 80's but as a child. So I learned some things by watching my sister perform in it at community theater and then seeing a better version later. Great song yes but even better play. The arbiters song is especially good.

@jedted: Yeah, the audio stutter happens in that level while playing for me, as well. I haven't heard it on any other levels before.

I really, really liked this level. I'm only level 12 mastery, but following the opportunities leads to some best-in-series gameplay sequences and moments. It does feel smaller, more segmented by specific keycards and disguises, and less generous with items than the previous levels. But I feel like each of those has been a response to how I've generally blundered through my early runs on previous levels using copious space, body-hiding, and lockpicks. This one took more experimentation and planning (and actually using the guided opportunities) to figure out how to pull off later challenges. I'm cool with having a mix of these different levels in the season. They both have their own merits.

One thing that felt crazy about Bangkok (I guess Marrakesh was similar) is just how many random drinks and food items are poisonable with no mission reason to do so. I guess those are spare tools for contracts and escalations?

Dude there is a trespassing indication that shows up under your mini-map. It doesn't look like you are noticing it. Also I thought it was interesting that on this level when you are the security guard you can walk around with the Machete without being "visibly armed." Played through it once seems good. Lots of little nooks and crannies.

Just realised I would rather watch Dan play.

I've finally got around to playing Paris, can't afford the new episodes yet. I like all the different things you can do to get the kill, all the challenges and that stuff too but after wandering around for ages and not being able to figure out how to do the interesting stuff I still ended up shooting dudes in the head and running away under gunfire. I probably just need to skim over some walkthroughs while playing to point me in the right direction and get the most out of it.

I find it funny and amazing that anyone actually wants Brad and Dan to "learn the game."

Why the hell do you want that? Part of the reason why these videos are so much is because they don't know what their doing. That's the point.

Having Brad actually learn the game, would imho ruin this series and make them into standard QL and/or walk-throughs.

Why does anyone want that???

What is with Brad's constant need to change outfits? He gets the outfit he wants then still wants to change into someone else for no reason at all. He did it a lot during that last illusive target mission.

Because in this case "learning the game" means "learning the basic mechanics of how the game functions" rather than speedrunning it with the most efficient strategies. There are some humorous moments that come from them bumbling around like idiots, sure, but it's just so frustrating to see them completely fail to grasp the core mechanics of a video game. I don't think Brad has ever once looked at the minimap while playing.

It's not like he's streaming it over twitch. Like for example even skype on a good connection has a maximum latency of 100ms which is on the same level as some plasma tvs.

@whiffleballdude: I don't get that. If i wanted to watch someone play the game with just basic proficiency, I'm sure there are a bazillion twitch streams of exactly that, or I could just play it myself.

The fact that both Brad and Dan each have their own unique stumbling, bumbling, clueless method of playing is the only thing that keeps me watching these videos.

Loved it, but dan seemed really impatient in this one. In previous hitmans just stabbing a guy [unless with that special knife like in sapienza] or just shooting a guy like suggested would have been super off limits. Also I think the manual saves ruined a lot that the previous ones didn't have. In the past they got themselves in really silly situations, but if they just manual save before they try anything it makes the episode a lot less exciting, which in previous episodes rarely happened if at all except for like right before the exploding body situation, which is a fine exception to the rule to have.
