Time to see if I can still care about a 2D platformer in the style of limbo.

Excited to play this when it comes out on PC.

Ladies and gentleman, I give you Limbo in color. Be amazed.

This looks fantastic. I watched this even though I want to play this game but unfortunately I don't have a Xbox One, or any intention of buying one, or a good PC to play this game on. So all I can do is wait and hope that it will eventually get a PS4 release just like Limbo eventually did.

This is the one exclusive, exclusive as of now but we'll see what happens, that Microsoft have that really makes me wish I had a better PC or an Xbox.

I have a prediction based on this quicklook about the story.

Those little slug things in the animals are something to do with mind control, and that machine is how they've adapted it for use on humans.

Five minutes in, I had to stop watching. I know absolutely I will buy this, and I don't want to be spoiled for anything!

Another World flashbacks with the pig and slug scene. Well swap the pig with a lion like beast.

I wanted to like limbo, i think i got it free when i had ps+ and after a couple hours it just got boring.

@castiel: i dont know what you're running but the minimum requirements are fairly modest in terms of current games, might be worth looking at

I have a feeling this will be a Witness-like situations where the GB crew is way more into it than most people. If you're not super wowed by atmosphere, I suspect this won't blow you away.

@zevvion: It's not by choice, I simply don't own an XB1. If it came out for PS4 on the 29th I would buy it then but unfortunately it's exclusive. At least unlike most PS4 exclusives like Journey or Uncharted, Microsoft also pushes their stuff on the PC.

I would have loved to show like half of the insane shit in this game but it would just undermine everyone's own experience with it. You don't even know! So far it's a shoo-in for moment of the year.

2016 is a pretty good year for games...

@brad: I think it's OK for you guys to experiment with a spoiler cut-off point in Quick Looks. Not just saying 'turn this off if you don't want to be spoiled', but doing the QL more or less spoiler free as normal, then have a thing come up that says something like 'spoiler zone' at the 16 minute mark of this video and continue to show off the stuff you wish you could but 'can't'.

When it's hyper-clear, I think people can/should make their own decision if they want to keep watching or not.

Alright, this comment gave me the idea of making someone else who's finished the game sit down with me later this week to replay some of the more memorable sections so we can gush about what we liked. Wouldn't work so well for every game, but this one has the easy chapter select + insane moments that would make it appropriate. Someone help me think of a name.

In general I'm more hesitant to show off too much before a game is out for purchase. Five hours after release there will be full playthroughs posted on YouTube, so post-release feels like a more appropriate time to dig into more of it if people want it.

I don't... I don't get the appeal of this at all. Although I really hated playing Limbo so I guess that makes sense.

@brad: Makes sense, it doesn't have to happen for every game. But I remember you guys did some cool stuff with BioShock Infinite at the time and I always wondered why that didn't return. There were a couple of games where that also made sense.

As for names, I'm bad at those. Spoiler Zone, or just 'Spoilers: gamename' would work. As for this one in particular, 'Inside Out' would be weirdly appropriate.

I feel like there's some name you guys had for this kind of stuff and it got lost to time. Great review by the way, this looks like something right up my alley. I think avoiding any spoilers is a really good idea for now, especially in the first 24/48 hours at least.

For someone who avidly follows all things video games, I have never heard of this. They really dropped the ball marketing this.

This was far too short for me to make a playing decision. I played Limbo and thought it was ok, not GOTY or my fave or anything.

Sometimes the need for "Spoiler Free" is super annoying. Without any kind of marketing for this game, I have no idea what the "hook" is. And this Ultra Quick Look does not help. I agree with this:

If you're worried about Dan and Jason, have them leave or something.

@brad: That would be awesome Brad. In general if you guys made some sort of post-mortem style videos where two people who have beaten a game get in-depth about the plot and late-game reveals would make for some really interesting and invigorating new content. Something similar to that amazing Cowboy feature you did.

@sin13: The markering, or lack thereof, was very deliberate, and the people who enjoy these kind of games are better off because of it.

This game has been mentioned in Best of E3 awards last year in several outlets. It was there during press conferences this year and last year, it was on news posts this year and last year, on the podcast several times too.

The non-marketing seems to have been intentional, but someone who avidly follows games it would've been kind of hard to miss this one.

Oh god, July 7th on Steam. Can't wait, this looks INSANELY good. Like, GOTY good for sure. I don't even need to see the rest of the gameplay, I'm sold.

Yeah I think that was all you needed to show honestly. The Oh Shit moment was perfect. I was already sold but seeing that moment, man. Also, now knowing this might have some interesting commentary on Factory farming has me that much more interested.

Alright, the first 3 minutes was enough of this. I only liked like the first 3rd of Limbo, but I'll give this a shot.

@brad: do it, i think it would be terrific. i know youve done a handful of spoilercasts in the past, but this looks like it would lend itself better to video.

plus holy potentially amazing game out of nowhere, batman.

I've never watched a QL where the engineer and the co-host both beg for the host to stop. Hopefully, we bombers enjoy the game this much.

Very excited for this! Already pre-ordered it, and Limbo was fantastic.

Limbo was just a series of trail-and-error gotcha moments set to an atmosphere. It was super disappointing from how much people hyped it up. This doesn't look too different unfortunately. Though it does have nice art direction.

Dan's public dumbness has reached the point where he no longer can even comprehend how words work together.

When he called baby ducks chicks i gave up on him. You would think the chick from chicken would be enough of a clue, but apparently not.
