Quick Look: Marvel Pinball

I would love it if ZEN would re-purpose some of the ZEN Pinball tables for FX2. 
I would love to play that Ninja Gaiden table, that thing is flippin' sweet. 
The ice skating uphill line is one of my all time favorites.  
It's right up there with, "Never rub another man's rhubarb."

I never thought i would have fun watching a man play pinball for 40 minutes.. But here I am.

Anybody else not particularly surprised to see who's at the top of the leaderboards for this?

stephen dorf was extra lousy in that movie, he was like a 15 yr old kid with his, fucking blood god gonna fucking kick your ass.  also i use the phrase, "im here to spoil your feast" all the time so i'm gonna sue me some asses.

I know why you did it, but I'm surprised you actually were able to let that ball go.
 
Next time I say either make it a long-ass, potentially boring quick-look or put it in the hands of the editors.  Anyone who matters will understand why it had to be done :)

You should get Pinball Hall of Fame; The Midway Collection.  It's a great games and the physics are spot on to the real life counterparts.  I find the physics in the zen pinball games too unrealistic and they just feel completely off.  The ball is heavy and light at the same time.  Hitting it with the flippers makes it go way too fast, but at the same time is speeds towards the bottom of the table like a bat out of hell, as if the table is at a 45 degree angle or something.

Kinda want to play some pinball now.

Oh they actually got music from the Blade movie.

Some of these look pretty damn nice. Also, the menu music sounds like Wetrix.

Damn, what Sinclair lacks in sophistication he makes up in pinball wizardry.

I think these videos are starting to make me appreciate Pinball more.

Ball does have rubber physics but I love all of these pinball games too.

The Blade table looks great.

I'd like to see a mix of tower defense and pinball. You win money playing pinball, and use it While pausing the game to build turrets and such. Just putting it out there.

this is impressive

 Yeah, I had issues with the voice acting, but mostly because I had other actors, voices in mind from the cartoons and/or movies.  And yes, the flipper sounds could be more varied per table and just in the intensity of an individual game, when you lightly or strongly engage them.  Though I scored highest in Spiderman, I preferred the Blade and Wolverine tables, and liked the IronMan table the least. - mostly because it felt like it didn't give me enough IronMan vs Tony Stark moments.  In a new set, if they do Captain America, it would be interesting to me if they can put Cap's shield inside the ball and make the ball translucent and staying upgright when it does a multi-strike (as if cap's thrown his shield to strike his enemies).  

It might be cool if they took the video game aspect of the franchise further and had deeper interactions with the gameplay.  Maybe more moments where you play the confrontations and pinball play is suspended or not depended upon during - have a real battle with Doc Oc or the Green Goblin, Blade slicing into Deacon Frost as a blood god, Hulk smashing the table literally and trying to navigate the damaged landscape of the table...

Oh well, I bought this as well, so thanks for the quicklook.

Damn, I've bought ALL the Marvel tables, and I'd STILL go back for more if they released a Ghost Rider table.

Also are we really to the point that we're complaining about pinball voice acting? I mean it's not like there's a real pinball machine leading the charge on that front...

Interesting for Jeff to have gone from "I really like it" re: the Zen pinball experience to his more modern stance about them. I think just, with enough time, enough tables, and actual competition at one point in the Pinball Arcade, it made Zen's flaws a little more seeable, where at the time it was like, well who else is doing this?
