Spongebob is pretty awesome to be fair. Vinny's voices were actually pretty good!

My favorite part of this QL is the minute-plus spent syncing Joy Cons.

Not to be that person, but auto-accelerate isn't just for kids; it's also great for people with disabilities. I feel like it isn't super cool to write it off as a cheat because of that, although I know nothing rude was intended by it :)

Also, Vinny's SpongeBob voice is a GIFT.

The game was developed by Bamtang Games out of Peru. GameMill was just the North American publisher of the game.

It's a bummer there are only 12 characters.

Spongebob is obviously eternal but the hey arnold and rugrats is a very mid 90's-early 00's thing and then ninja turtles which would be more late 80's/early 90's but it's like Ninja Turtle Kidz?

This looks so classically budget that it's almost quaint. It's like a middling PS2 kart racer.

I imagine Dan saw it and got excited and wanted to warn people away. I say the title for this and actually got excited for a second and was thinking it would be cool to play a game with characters I grew up with....then I saw the video and it looks bland.

vinny's spongebob is too powerful

@huckleberrysassacre: There have been several Turtles reboots since the original. These designs in particular are from a CG animated series that ran (on Nickelodeon of course) from 2012-2017.

It does make you wonder who the audience was supposed to be for this game. :-)

@khetix: seems to be mostly aimed kids born in the late eighties or early nineties who have been cryogenically frozen for the last fifteen to twenty years.

I feel bad for anyone suckered into spending money on this. Vinny's voice acting is a-ok though.

A good children's cartoon is written for both the parents and the kids. The secret is the kids don't get the adult jokes so they think everybody's laughing at the same thing. Just toss some potty humor or slapstick right after a dirty joke and Spongebob's your uncle.

I was gonna lament this not being on PC before seeing the comments and watching the video. Afterwards, uh, yeah, consoles can keep this. Wow. Bad.

This may be my biggest disappointment of 2018. Nickelodeon has such a good, varied roster of characters from the 80s to the 10s, and other Nicktoons games have actually had better representation (like the PS1 racing game or even the weird MLB game there's a quick look of on this very site)! Nintendo and Sega deserve some real competition. Too bad.

When will Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network learn? If you can't make your crossover game 1) sound like the licensed works and 2) look like the licensed works, then don't bother making the game.

When I saw this listed on the Xbox store I turned to my wife and said "I feel bad for the poor bastards who had to spend some portion of their lives working on this." I'm sure no one got into game development to make bad licensed kart racers.

Naming your game company that just churns out garbage "Game Mill" is a bit too on the nose honestly.

I never really liked nickelodeon, alot of creepy cartoons and alot(if not most) of characters in cartoons that i didn't like.

7 minutes in, the cars engine sounds are horrible. It sounds like the engine is stuck in a single gear and needs to shift.

As someone who works at Nickelodeon this was very entertaining :)

It's a shame that Nickelodeon licensed such an obvious lazy company to develop this. BangTang Games. Not to mention, the publishers of this title published Big Rig Racing, so you know the quality well runs deep.
