Quick Look: Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel

This is nowhere near the peak my friend.

I'm more receptive to anime than some, but those character designs don't interest me at all. All but like two of them just look like generic anime girl in varying dress.

I'm 95% sure Ein, the character Jeff starts out as, is from an anime called Requiem for the Phantom. Similarities are there for sure at least. That's my contribution to anime.

Ein - Phantom of Requim - has some sexual content but the focus is not there hence no porn game.

Mora - Vampirdzhija Vjedogonia - has some sexual content but the focus is not there hence no porn game.

Ruili - Kikokugai - no porn at all

Al zif - Deus Machina Demonbane - no porn at all

After this quick look started I immediately went on psn to check the price of this game.Am not sure of the $40 price tag but this looks fun.

Same way, got way psyched when I saw Homura. But I'm pretty sure this was just supposed to be a visual novel thing. It would be pretty cool if they brought in some anime specific characters as DLC or something. Or as it's own thing, I dunno.

I came into this quick look expecting to make fun of this, but this looks kinda awesome. Seems like a way easier to get into version of MvC. I'm sure they're way different, but that's how it looks from the outside.

Yeah googling anime character names has a pretty good chance of leading you to porn regardless of the porn level of the actual thing.

That Sonico vs Sonico fight made me think i was watching saltybet. Holy shit, that fight was crazy.

@assirra: Demonbane actually has H-scenes, including ones with Al-Azif. Kikokugai apparently has sex in it but none including the protagonist (rape etc).

Labeling visual novels as "porn games" is indeed ridiculous though. With how long many of them are, it's the equivalent of a 90-minute film having less than a minute of nudity. There is a subgenre focused on porn, for sure. But most (all? don't know all of them) of the characters in this aren't from it.

Now I'm more disappointed they didn't do a quick look of Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax :(

Happy they gave this one a shake, though. Jeff and Jason duking it out is always a treat.

EDIT: After having finished the QL I think some games could benefit from having a dedicated 'Anime button'.

I may only recognize about three fighters but I'm sold. Fighting appears solid and an all-female cast is a refreshing thing to see. To the PSN Store! Or, you know, Amazon if it's not around digitally.

Come for the anime, stay for the cats and the 70s softcore sex film references.

I find it amusing that all of these characters have made it into a western release as many of them are from hentai visual novels. Saya in particular is an inclusion I would not expect, she appears in a particularly graphic and disturbing VN called Saya no Uta, it's a fantastic story but it's definitely not for everyone.

For those who are wondering, yes, some of these characters are from hentai and ecchi materiel. It is kinda sad it like that since all of the cool characters like Saber are piled in with airheads like Super Sonico.

These seems like a weird fan service game. I wish more people in the west will do a big fan service game like Hearthstone or something. I might not like the original source but playing them in a different game might be really entertaining.

"and then anime happened" is an accurate description for this game.

I'm disappointed that someone made a visual novel based fighting game and Yuuya didn't make the cut.

Saya no Uta was such a good VN, probably my favorite piece of writing from Gen Urobuchi (also wrote Madoka, psycho-pass)

During the Sonico mirror match, you can hear something come loose in Jason's brain. They were riding the anime wave right up until they hit that madness, and then all was lost in a blur of color and cats.

I like the idea of anime videogames, but why do most of them have to be spoiled with creepy sexy children?

cross girl looks more unwieldly than creepy. fighting game characters got weird.

Looks at picture, sees title, thinks "Oh boy GB dishing on how terrible anime is for half an hour again". Starts to watch "yup" "oh wait...did he just say its an anime fighter and .... HE LIKES IT" Looks outside ... "well wow that's BABE with WINGS"!
