Quick Look: Pushmo

Wish I had a 3DS to check this out on. I really enjoyed Catherine and this seems to have similar mechanics.

Just so you know Patrick, if you go to a website like Imgur (I haven't tried other image hosts but I know that one works) on the 3DS browser, you can upload images from the SD card directly. You don't have to remove the SD card and put it into your computer whenever you want to get images off it like the QR codes for this game.

This sold me on the game.

man jeffs idea of rickrolling these puzzle levels makes me wish i had a 3ds so i could get this game.

Pushmo is seriously one of the best games I've played on a portable device. Tons of fun, provided you like puzzle games.

This game is called "Pull Blox" in Europe. No idea why they changed the name, "Pushmo" sounds way cooler.

If you make a stage creator, people will make level 1-1.

I'm sure I'm not the first to think about this, but someone should make a Pushmo of a QR Code.

Never been tempted to buy a non Virtual Console game on Nintendo's dowload services, but I bought this game a week ago and LOVE it!

I'm thinking of making a crossword puzzle level. I wonder how that will turn out...

It's better if you just think of the blocks as jello. Then it's not so morbid

Lot of people say it looks like Catherine, and it certainly does. But this game has more focus on actual platforming as well. And I've not played Catherine, but from what I've seen that game only has single blocks stacked on top of each other while this game can have blocks that are 3 spaces wide or more, or a block that goes all around the rest of the blocks like a frame. That makes the gameplay very different from Catherine as well.

I bought this game after watching this video. Love that I can do background downloads now, and only use the amount that needs to be for the game.

We need the Nintendownload X-Press to make us aware of games like this the moment they're released! Jeff - NOTHING STOPS THE NINTENDOWNLOAD X-PRESS! Never forget that!

Like they took out the "Su" and put "Push" instead.

Hearing you talk about it on the bombcast and the fact I haven't touched my 3DS in a while made me try this game out. It's alot of fun and it's the first game I've played on the 3DS where I leave the 3D on all the time.

Fortune Street is called Boom Street over here, and the new Kirby Wii game has a different name too. I wonder why Nintendo of Europe are going on a renaming rampage lately.

Big could refer to the area of the grid, the number of blocks, or the size of the dimensions. Yes, the width and length are doubled, but the area (and thus number of blocks) is quadrupled. When you say "this grid is twice as big as this other grid", you pretty much always mean the area of the grid.

32x32 is four times as big as 16x16.

Beware, this is the kind of game that if you play it too much it will end up playing itself in your brain.

This guy is completely right.

After playing Pushmo (my first and only 3DS game) for a few hours I understand why it's called Pull Blox in Europe. Pulling is much more what this game is about than pushing.

Also this game is great.
