Quick Look: Putty Squad

I always knew Jeff was a real toad tickler.

@steadyingmeat: I also know this sadness. The artwork Is reminiscent of many iPhone games that are being made these days, no soul. This is one of the darker faces of games. We're through the looking glass here people. Also it looks like there is a clash of art styles nothing seems to fit.

Is it bad that this game looks kind of cool to me? Am I alright?

What I pictured when I saw the words Putty Squad.

This reminds me of something you'd find on a eGames disc. Similar to something like Crazy Eggbert. I think that was the name.

Looks kinda alright to me too, though the very similar Amiga platformer Superfrog HD is already available on PSN for PS3 and Vita way cheaper than this. I'd probably pick this up for $5 or something like that. That said, I'd prefer it if they rereleased a bunch of the visually more impressive or at least atmospheric Amiga platformers - Psygnosis' made a bunch, which like this weren't particularly great as games, but were at least really good looking art wise. The system had a whole bunch of cyberpunk games of various kinds too, which I'd rather see rereleased than this.

Flimbo's Quest was great... Putty Squad doesn't even look like something I would have played 25 years ago and most certainly not in 2014..

I don't think Jeff will be able to handle the British beef he is bringing on himself! Fawlty Towers is a classic!! ...but ye this game is terrible.

I like John Cleese, I love Monty Python, but Fawlty Towers sucks. Jeff is right.

Still 10 minutes after the video finished I'm left dumbfounded about how this happens.

lol fawlty towers sucks and most people who like it have a poor outdated sense of humour. everything jeff says about europe and the uk is always 100% on point, jeff don't listen to what anybody else here tells you

Get a real James Pond vibe from this. I've seen worse though.

This is one of my favorite post-Ryan Era quick looks. Everything about this makes me happy.
