This works well, great work guys. Audio is a tad off as you know, but far from unwatchable. I'm excited about the prospect of you guys being some sort of go-to duo for co-cop quick looks.

The seemingly impossible to get chest at 4:32... you can get it by climing down the hidden ladder on the floor above it!

Also, this was a very fun quicklook to watch, even though I've played this game to death since the beta, more of these please! (when possible)

They should make a game where you have randomly generated stats, and you traverse through randomly generated levels where you encounter obstacles that can only be passed if you use the term rogue-like correctly. If you fail you die and have to start over. At the end of the game you make it out of the maze and look in the mirror triumphantly and realize it is time to shave off the neckbeard.

I was pleasantly delighted by this game. Damn that audio.

This long-distance QL works v.well. If Alex and Patrick both had the exact same quality microphone, it'd almost feel like they were in the same room.

Agreed. I forget the name of it, but I hope Alex gets the same mic Patrick acquired.

Yea, it's the Blu Snowball I believe, the same one I got. If they're willing to go the extra mile, it might even be worth to have both of them record locally in Audacity or something and then sync both tracks together later.

(They might have actually done this for this QL, but the quality was definitely uneven as far as I could tell)

I definitely prefer these tele-QLs over the solo format. It's always good to have a little bit of conversation over the gameplay.

This looks rad. Any idea if this is coming to consoles? I have a PC but my friends are console gamers.

This looks quite fun. And nice job with the remote quick look, hope to see more of this.

Is there any matchmaking for the co-op, or do you have to invite friends directly? I am guessing the latter, which would be a bummer since I don't have any friends.

There's no matchmaking at all because the developer is quite small. There's this community-made server list, but it's not exactly the same as "matchmake me with someone who is also looking to play right this instant". http://46.38.233.95:11100/servers

Anyway, playing it with friends is probably your best bet.

This looks awesome, thank you Patrick for always showcasing some awesome indie games. Thanks to you I discovered Dustforce, one of my now favorite games ever.

Really? Not to rain on your parade, but I found Dustforce too frustrating. I love the music and graphics to death, but I wish they were in a more enjoyable game. The way the game progresses was stressful and poorly conceived.

At a certain point, I just wanted to see more levels, and didn't want to S-rank every level perfectly to get another damn key. I like that Super Meat Boy gives you credit for beating a level, whether you did it super fast or you were a giant sissy that slowly edged your way forward. The fact that Dustforce requires you to do an optimal completion of each level to earn the next key is rather frustrating, especially since doing so proves much more difficult anywhere past the first world.

Also, the fact that the game encourages the play to hammer on the dash button constantly (instead of simply having a "run" button like Mario/Super Meat Boy) was a bummer, and I never quite got used to how the momentum slides work when you collide with an angled surface.

After a certain point, I got too frustrated by the difficulty of the game and I wasn't improving, so I watched some leaderboard replays of some of the harder levels, went "Well that looks slick as hell, but I'm never going to pull that off in a million years so I know I'm never going to get that key", then I uninstalled the game.

I bought this game on Steam and ended up dropping it in less than ten minutes because the halfassed gamepad support drove me up a wall. Same reason I couldn't get into Unepic.

Awesome! @patrickklepek as people have said, the remote QL is a great idea. Been playing since release, I find it best to rush boss asap, this is especially true in the later levels. Anyways, great game, hope people jump on board so there will be more co-op servers available, haven't had time to jump in a co-op game yet, but looks like this is where the game can really shine.

Rogue-likes if defined by purists would be minor mods for Rogue itself. Spreading it out further is good.

Remote QLs are good, it makes teams that normally don't do QLs possible, and it shows off the strengths and weaknesses of the on-line play and infrastructure.

THIS.

I can appreciate that Dustforce is intentionally difficult, but theres a way to do that without being inaccessible. Super Meat Boy provides a surmountable challenge for those who just want to get to the end and then ramps it up to insane levels for those who want to got the extra mile. Dustforce is just straight unforgiving.

Bought this based on Patrick's Quick Look and a stream he did some months back. It's all I've played the past 3 days.

The multiplayer requires you to understand port forwarding, which is beyond the capabilities of my small brain....but its still a fantastic single player experience.
