FUCK YES. I love fighting games, but my dear sweet Jesus do I hate talking to hardcore fighting fans or going to any fighting game forum. Obviously there are some good, decent people out there in this scene, but 99% of the people I see/talk to are people I want nothing to do with...

Gameinn is Daigo, and Tokido77 is... Tokido. Kind of funny to see that after Jeff finished saying that Daigo would never play the console version of this game. Whoops?

I think part of it is the reason you guys mentioned in the quick look, a lot of different fighting games can be run on PS3's and they already have a lot of them, but also controllers and arcade sticks. Playstation controllers are used by a lot of American Tekken players.

Look at Ken's eyes on that menu screen. He is so ready to kiss Ryu. God, the tension is thick!

You know, the assumption that the best players from Japan wouldn't be on the 360 version is actually perfectly reasonable and logical. The 360 is just not popular AT ALL in that country.

Of course anyone tuned into the fighting game community knows the assumption to be wrong, but you can't fault them for not having the info privy to why they would be wrong.

I do find it hilarious, still, that the first match they pulled up in search mode would be Tokido vs. Daigo.

Watching them watch Tokido vs Daigo and have no idea was greatly amusing to me.

Yah, the tournament scene has too many who were too comfortable off on the island adrift from the rest of gaming, and when SF4 hit and reconnected them with the mainland, they didn't take it well and stain the community. Too much shittalking, too much man.

I heard Ultra David say that the 360 is faster then the arcade and the timing for the button inputs is different because of it. The PS3 is pretty much the exact port from the arcade. I haven't played the arcade version, so I can't say if it's true, though.

I really haven't got into the whole following people. I really don't know how to look up for their gamer tags. I found a couple but I don't think top players want to share their matches that much.

it's not true, they both run exactly the same. it's just superstition, the dlc didn't change the game code from super at all

Tekken 5 was PS2, not PS3.  Also, Tekken 6 came out on both PS3 and 360.

As much as I like the staff, and dislike community elitism, they really don't know what they're talking about.

I have to admit, watching a match replay of Tokido vs Daigo on Xbox Live while commenting on how Japanese players don't play fighting games on Xbox Live is kind of hilarious.
