I have been spoiled by current gen stuff. I do not think this game looks especially great compared to other PS4/One games.

Before I watch, are there spoilers in this vid?

The multiplayer is so good.

This definitely looks better, but still kinda like a PS3 game. Not that that's bad, or anything. I just don't think this is worth $50 when I already own it on PS3.

I don't get why Dan wouldn't like using Options for pausing. I mean, think about it. We've been using the start button for decades to pause games. Isn't that a little counter-intuitive? Options is way more descriptive of what that button is usually used for. It brings you to a menu where you can access the options.

I feel like the last sane man being unable to play TLoU from looking terrible with nauseating frame rates and unsightly aliasing. This looks like a day and night improvement.

Jeff hates Red Dead and Yoshi. Why do I like Jeff again?

I was stuck on hard at the same spot brad was, but it was because no matter where I hid or how i snuck up behind that first zombie, he always turned around. It didn't matter where I hid in that little side room or how slowly I went up behind him -- he always turned around.

I remember being incredibly annoyed with that part and eventually just slogged my way through it.

I have to watch this, I don't want to get left behind.

You can't name 10 games of the last generation better than Brothers The Last of Us ;-)

edit: With that said, I should probably fire up my copy of TLoU on PS3. I hear it's quite good.

I would recommend to anyone to play this on Hard. The scarcity of resources feels just right in that before a fight you do an inventory check, "I've got 3 rounds in my revolver, 2 arrows, a smoke bomb and a pipe. Now I have to take out or sneak past 6 dudes." I loved it!

Because he has conviction in his beliefs, no matter how wrong he might be.

This finished downloading right before I left for work, so i'm pretty excited to play it when I get home.

Was a fun game.

@brad: No there weren't more enemies on hard. That's not how it works.

Were you able to kill Clickers by melee weapons before? I think I played the entire game thinking it's an auto-death if you just touch them.

@humanity: Pretty much, if memory serves you can throw a bottle/brick at their face, while they're staggered use a second brick to brick-punch kill them.

Wait wait wait who in the world is that 30fps limit for? Why would you ever include that?

You could always kill them with melee weapons but if they get too close you're dead if you didn't purchase the one shiv skill.

@altairre: I guess I just had a few unlucky encounters while trying to melee them and assumed it wasn't possible. Unlike Dan I thought the melee in this game was pretty lacking, as was the stealth.

Did we hit a time warp, or are there still people out there who think they get something for being the first to post a nonsensical/generic comment? :p

The game can't constantly run at 60fps, so when it drops, there could be noticeable hitching/stuttering. If it's locked at 30fps, it will at the very least stay that way. Plus I heard something about better shadows at the 30fps setting, but I have no idea if that is true or not. I agree though, I would just take the 60fps option, the inclusion is kind of weird.

@3:26 - Embracing failure without even trying is never a good look.

You can't trust Jeff's opinion on a lot of games because he doesn't play them most of the way through to give them a chance. If he doesn't like a game for the first hour and a half, he hates it forever.

Also Brad forgets to craft shiv with supplies, says "I don't have a shiv." Classic Brad.

What an amazing game! Hopefully more people will get to experience this with the remastered release.

You guys are missing out by not playing the MP. I usually don't care for MP in story based games either but it's really good in TLoU.

Still the best game ever made.

Is survivor mode unlocked from the get go? I would love to play through again but only if I can do it on max difficulty.

This looks exactly like the PS3 game. I mean, the PS3 game looked fine, but holy shit does this highlight just how hilariously underwhelming the power of these new consoles are. Really, the only two gaming consoles you really need is are a WiiU and a PC. The WiiU at least offers you something that the other 2 machines can't on PC.

You can't play The Last of Us on a PC.

@davo46: Grounded ought to be unlocked from the get-go, so all of the difficulty modes are there. Grounded is pretty brutal though.

Had no intention of playing the multiplayer after not trying it on the PS3. But this sold me. The upgrades and the pace just spoke to me.

Red Dead Redemption is a great game. Sure the Mexico section was a bit too long but other than that it is simply fantastic.

Also, @jawshua, you like Jeff because he's a funny and likeable guy.

This is easily the most overrated game ever. Sure, the characters, their dialogues and the cutscenes are all fantastic, but gameplay-wise this is easily the worst game I can remember willingly spending money on. The stealth is just super sloppy and inconsistent and you can't make it trough the game without it. Saying this game has good stealth just seems crazy to me and makes me think you've never played any good stealth games before (like the recent Batman games, Mark of the Ninja or the most recent Deus Ex, all of which you should play instead of this game).

All that being said, the parts of the game you don't have any control over are really good and you should probably watch someone else play through the entire game.

Every person. Multiplayer or not, every person would think that except Brad apparently.

They picked the most graphically bland area to play through for the quick look. Remastered really does look fantastic. I've played about an hour so far and it looks far and away superior to the PS3 version. It is probably the second best looking game I've played on PS4 after Infamous. That's pretty good for an up scaled port.

My favorite game of the generation now looks way better. Sweet.

Looks nice but, I still don't like TLoU really.
