I mostly remember Stronghold from a decade ago when I occasionally pirated PC games (GASP! Though since Steam and GOG came out its just easier to buy games). For some reason there were a lot of copies of Stronghold masquerading as other games, to the ridiculous point of 70% of the stuff I tried to download was actually Stronghold, the rest was guaranteed to be missing stuff that wasn't installed to the Harddrive like Sound Files and Pre-rendered video.

I played Stronghold II and it is terrible, this looks a lot better. Reminds me some of a less complex Dwarf Fortress.

What, Stronghold!? 
I loved this game when I was younger, even though I was really bad at it... 
It was always fun to use a the flammable grass, or whatever it was, to light a whole army on fire, though.
