Imagine if the Titans had a snowboard.

I think this game looks cool and was fun when I played it, but after 7 hours of the beta I felt like I already got what I needed out of it.

There doesn't seem to be any depth outside of the movement, which actually seems like it would be pretty easy to master due to how easy it is, and the shooting is standard shallow CoD style garbage. Additionally being in a Titan just feels like playing as a bigger, slower soldier.

The fact that it only has 15 maps (CoD4 and MW2 both had 16 at launch with SP and coop in MW2), has a half assed campaign mode, relatively few weapons or unlocks, and costs 60 bucks seems a little bogus to me. And knowing that Respawn is full of old IW people and the game is published by EA, you just know there are going to be numerous paid map packs that will fracture the community.

Man, sometimes the community surrounding this awesome hobby really saps away all the happiness. I'm liking the game, so that's all that matters I guess. Maybe I just need to take an Internet break.

I would give this game a chance if it was not that EA was publishing this game. No its not because EA is a evil company. I just don't trust them at all. Trust is hard to obtain and easy to lose and the past 3 years they have practice shady anti-consumer policies.

Yeah, the way the guns in the mech are viewed exactly the same as when you hold them as infantry kinda kills the feeling of piloting a huge machine for me.

It's not really the source engine. The source engine makes up the foundation of the engine, but the end result is very different.

Bummer I missed this live, definitely would make this more interesting to watch. But onwards we go. My day ends with this.

thats kind of a dumb comment (no offence) ... they based the game on source but I doubt the engine now is anywhere close to what they started with ... also: even IF it still was source, that engine is evolving since it has been out. Just because they never named it "Source 2" doesn't mean it's the same engine that they used to build HL2.

Call of Duty: Robot Warfare

Please use the proper and complete title.

Everything about TF reminds me of the recent Transformers Films, especially on that city map with all the smoke, explosions and chaos at times.

I really enjoyed what i played of the beta, but the theatrics of mech's and parkour isn't enough to hold my interest in what seems to be a standard shooter. I think players that really dig FPS's will really enjoy TF and i hope they do, it's just not for me.

Perhaps if the Mech's performed parkour themselves, and were transformers.......parkour Megatron....................OH GOD I SAID TOO MUCH

Having lots of fun with it. People who just blurt out that it is Call of Duty should grow some brain cells and actually try the game first. It would be stupid to say that the game doesn't have any similarities at all, because well, it was made by mostly the same people that made CoD. But then again, not like it matters, people will still just blurt out dumb things anyway.

Oh well, more Titanfall for me!

@2headedninja: The developers themselves said that there is very little of the original Source engine left. You can still enable some old console commands from Source though. Like forcing a borderless window and whatnot.

Whenever I go to cons and hang out with my fellow gamers, I go away loving the community. But the negativity online really bums me out. It is almost like some people get no joy out of their hobby.

By the way, Titanfall has been a blast so far.

It's a EA Partners game by a non-EA studio. EA is just doing the distribution.

Trust me, don't over-think this community. Some of them really have nothing better to do. Kinda sad, really.

I don't know, I just can't find any hype for this. I pre-ordered it on a whim last week on PC, but I decided to ask for a refund today and just wait for Dark Souls II instead. One thing I will say for EA's awful Origin bullshit is that their Great Game Guarantee thing does exactly as promised. It took around half an hour from me requesting the refund to the Paypal message coming through saying it was done. Steam could certainly benefit from adopting that system.

The video looks really dark - the game doesn't look like that on my PC. Something wrong with the Xbox's RGB settings?

Edit: yeah, you can clearly see the differences in the menu when they switch to the PC version
