Probably not going to get a review of this game on GB, so I'll ask the community: Is this game good for the guy who likes tennis video games but doesn't understand the nuances of the actual sport?  A lot of people seem to prefer Top Spin 4 over this game, but they always cite that it's due to the game's realism.  What about the guy who wants Pong with athletes?

Ewww, the font that appears at 15 seconds in is a poor, poor choice; it was enough to yank me away from enjoying the sexy tones of Mr Sean Coonce.

The art style of the graphics that the text appears over isn't anything too pretty, either. I can only guess that they were trying to make it look like the intro for the movie Wimbledon. Only they don't have the ace RjD2 tune to go with it. Ugh.

EDIT: And it leads into a completely different art style in the menus! Eeek!

Coonce's enthusiasm is the best thing about Whiskey Media.

This game just screams AM2. From the board game to the customization, and it's all good! *sigh* We need a new Virtua Fighter game...

Man, that music during that map is classic Sega.  I love it.

@Andorski: Seeing that Virtua Tennis's entire reputation has revolved around being arcade tennis at its finest, yes. This is a good game for those who like tennis but not always have known its nuances. Some of the nuances are there to some extent, but not to the level of Top Spin.

I love AM2's refreshing and clean UI.  Remember the AM2 logo before the title screen?

Seems like it's nothing compared to Top Spin 4, where real effort is required, Effort, and SKILL!

I know there are different types of games, top spin vs virtua tennis, but why did you never quick look top spin? Yeah Iits my personal preference but you can't argue Top Spin makes far greater strides compared to this game which plays like a 2005 game

Always liked tennis games, Virtua Tennis on Dreamcast being the first one I really sunk my teeth into, but I could never get into watching the real thing. Probably because so many players constantly grunt like apes. That shit is just obnoxious.
