It's a tricky one for the english tongue to wrap around. Everyone always wants to emphasize a syllable somewhere. Fukushima is another that gets slaughtered all of the time.

The michi puns in Japanese were all pretty bone-headed, mostly just appending michi onto complete words. That makes the English translation all the more impressive for being able to derive some actual puns from the source material. Really dropped the ball by not getting "You're welcomichi," though.

As good as the translation is overall, they still oddly decided to stick with the "Network" nomenclature, which is a borrowed word used in Japan to refer to what we would typically call Online.

I get weirded out every time people refer to Takeshi Kitano as Beat Takeshi, I guess it depends on where you know him from originally? But that is his comedian standup name, which he hasnt really used in decades. I know him as the guy who starred in, wrote, and directed 2 of the best movies of all time in Sonatine and Hana-bi.

He is credited in this game as Beat Takeshi, so he does apparently still use that name to some degree.

I'm so thankful for being introduced to the Yakuza series via Beast in the east. Just finished 6 and loved every second of it. Here's looking forward to kiwami 2!
