Anosmia will often also cause people to lose their sense of taste, and when it's bad enough people will sometimes lose interest in food and/or become depressed. Dan's smelling issues don't seem to be there yet. Almond milk tastes nothing like whole milk.

All the talk of disharmony this episode can pretty much be written off as Dan gonna Dan, and he knows that he can be a bit much so I don't think their reactions would bother him. If anything Vinny's reaction to Alex re "google it" was more out of character.

EDIT: This was really hard to watch through. Dan goes to fetch them some seltzers and they start talking shit behind his back. This is a weird heel turn for the Beast crew.

Dan saying "it oversaturated my buds" is easily one of the most hilarious things he's said on the site and that's saying something.

Dan never ate that hat like he said he would. Make him eat the silicone instead!

I highly recommend the Game Informer Ninja Gaiden Super Replay, where the host and others constantly talk/joke about punching Dan in the face.

The funny thing about Dan is that he's the least aggressive and judgemental on staff. He has his opinions and weird ideas but doesn't get confrontational about others no liking a thing or thinking a certain way, like others on staff do.

The commentary below is embarrassing. These are grown-ass adults who are friends who obviously have their own private code and comfort levels you can't entirely understand by simply being a fan, no matter how many GB videos you've watched.

Justice for Dan! He was right about the silica gel. They completely missed his point and then adopted it as their own :(

Now that I'm through most of this, this is straight up not fun to watch. Everyone is just coming off as adolescent bullies.

Abby was a bit to harsh. The game holds up fine. Just seemed like she got frustrated when she couldn't rush through things.

The PG-13 rating ruined movies. Why can’t they just decide between PG and R?

I just want to talk about the First Contact borg theme music in this part of the game.

@johnnymcginley: I love Dan as much as the next person and get down with the crazy stuff he says, but you CANNOT deny that he is willfully ignorant sometimes and that can be incredibly frustrating. Imagine having to deal with it for 40 hours a week.

You know, in a twisted Ryckert kind of way, he was right.

This series is so hard to watch with how much Dan gets bullied. The others are all terrible with it but especially Vinny when he literally mutes Dan on multiple occasions and Bakalar most of all as he plays ringleader with his constant nasty, anti-Dan attitude.

Also, Dan was right about the silica desiccants.

Probably one of the worst videos on Giant Bomb.

It's wild to me how many comments on this series say these are hard to watch. This is one of the handful of series I've watched through multiple times and enjoy it every time.
