Monkey Watch was sort of *the one* for my group of friends too, but I always thought it was the easiest one in the game, and I never understood why people had so much trouble with it.

For me, the nightmare was the rap love song one that was like, "Into you (into you)." I could never figure out the, um, rhythm.

The Monkey Watch is where I stopped playing. I think Dan also had a story of having to trade his review off because he couldn't beat this one, too. I can get good scores and often even perfects on all of the others and I remember skating through the DS game pretty easily too, but this god damn watch full of shitty fucking monkeys stopped me in my tracks on the Wii.

Monkey Watch was always a little tricky but yes, that rap one is IMPOSSIBLE to get properly. I swear.

Props to Abby for getting this done so quick tho! Excited to see more of this :)

This, and the final challenge, are the only remaining non-perfects in my save file. This should be the easiest one in the game! It's such a simple pattern! Why is it so tough?

Probably asked before, but is abby playing off the capture screen or a direct monitor/TV? Could there be some input lag getting introduced somewhere?

This is fun, glad to see that it’s continuing!

Also, I feel like the strategy to restart after a bad initial run is a good idea. Better to just reset, truly

I only own Rhythm Heaven Megamix (3DS) where Monkey Watch is kinda buried as an optional unlockable level.

Almost definitely, and even a small amount makes this game brutal to play. I said this on the first video, but the solution for me was an adapter to redirect the Wii's audio to an external speaker/headphones. Kind of a pain in the ass, but worth it.

one TWO three FOUR, one TWO three AND four AND

Abby really getting into (and sometimes struggling with) Rhythm Heaven is not a thing I thought I needed in my life. Let’s go for Monkey Watch perfect next time.

yeah Love Rap is stupidly hard because it's the only rhythm game in the series to utilize a swing rhythm. Even if you know that, the correct inputs still seem totally arbitrary.

I remember this one giving me trouble, but the rap one I remember only doing once or twice. Guess we all have our own rhythm hang-ups.

I found that Love Rap was much easier with the japanese language set, the rhythm sounds better imo.

@pimanrules: this is the one I was thinking about that I really struggled with more than any other in RH history. I forgot it was in MegaMix too. Yeah, my brain just really struggles with switching from on beats to off beats. Probably very easy for some.

@oobir: Wow Perfects?! I loaded this up again today to see if it was as hard as Abby made it look, and I had superb medals in all but 5 games, but I've only gotten perfects in like 7. That's impressive that you've gotten so many!

Don't worry about talking/being entertaining. Rooting for you to pass a challenge that demands all you concentration is entertainment enough during those portions. Also the silence increases the emotional payoff of you eventually swearing up a storm in either celebration or frustration.

Watching this made buy a copy of Rhythm Heaven Megamix. Getting perfect timing is so much harder than it looks.

From what I can see in the animations, sure, there's some slight rushing and late inputs on your part here and there but based on the consistency of many of those misses you may be dealing with some slight input lag.

In Part 1 you didn't quite have the rhythm down. But by the beginning of this video it wasn't a Dan-esque issue of complete rhythmlessness anymore. You just kept barely falling outside the successful hit window. And the more you did that, the more you got thrown off trying to compensate your inputs positively or negatively, pushing you even more out.

This is one of those rhythm games that turns even minor lag into something basically game breaking.

Doesn't Fever let you skip games if you keep failing them? Or is that only DS and Mega Mix?
