Quick Look: RICO

I should not be surprised that Dan has never heard of RICO, even though he's probably seen countless movies that feature the RICO Act as a plot point

Of course Dan does not know about the RICO act and does not care about the story! Of course! Why games even have stories? Why hire writers? Why are writers in the world even?

We'll be getting a frontrow view on this practice soon though.

The graphics/artstyle remind me of XIII for the PS2

This game seems... incredible. Kicking open a door to a bathroom with three dudes in it, one of whom was squatting near the door facing inward, is beautifully idiotic in a really special way.

I've heard of RICO through some mafia movie but forget what it stands for or is exactly.

I could tell from the thumbnail, before clicking on the link, that Dan, ever on brand, was involved in this video.

Love to once more be told nothing about the story, world or setup other than that I apparently don't care about it. Would it hurt to let the intro at least play out?

All the law bloggers inform me that it's not in fact RICO, it's never RICO and people who allege RICO are likely full of it.

There is a lot to be said about this game that after watching this I would rather play this than continue playing Sekiro right now.

@flashflood_29: Yeah, movies and games have done a pretty good job at convincing people that the blast from a shotgun becomes completely harmless after the first fifteen feet.

@relkin: games do that for sure. Movies convince people that shotguns will launch someone 20 feet through the air

Actually, Alex, there isn't really a range a shotgun wouldn't be good at considering indoor combat.

This reminds me of the 90's/ early 00's era of shooters like GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, TimeSplitters, and Max Payne before developers ruined everything by giving enemies AI that made them do things besides a) stand there or b) run towards you. I honestly kind of miss that because I really liked the feeling of getting headshot after headshot.

I'm not through the entire video yet (only about 15 mins in so far) but I swear to god use the USE KEY on the piles of money Dan! Holy crap how can you not know to use the use key on it, since you use the use key on everything else in the game.

Ok, just got to literally the 16th minute of the video and Dan discovered the whole using the use key thing on the money LOL Nice Dan :D

That's a more realistic shotgun than most games.

This game is bad & awesome at the same time. And sure, this game is not about the story, but man.. the intro voice over was explaining the RICO act, how can you miss the intro to a game?
