Forcing pseudo-3D precision movement on an unforgiving 2.5D plane seems like a REALLY bad idea (as evidenced by the fact that every single time Ben got his biker moving faster than 10 miles an hour, he bumped into a piece of scenery).

Game looks pretty though.

EDIT: Yeesh, forcing the character to drive behind scenery where the camera can't see you seems like a bad idea on top of a bad idea.

this looks kind of like a great idea...but that lane switching looks like it was handled poorly

So does Ben forget the controls like, twice in this Quick Look? It seems like he ignore the jump button for the jumping section.

GB has sold me on more than one game by giving me the sense of Absolutely Certainty that I could play the game better than I see in the quick look.

This isn't one of those times, I like a lot of what I see in this game honestly but ultimately I think I'm in Bens camp - this doesnt look like it plays well. Catching on geometry too often, not quite tuned to let you pull off Cool Moves as often as you'd want to.

Finally, that gritty Biker Mice From Mars reboot we've all been waiting for.

I was really curious if it's the game or Ben, because he seems to be absolutely at odds with this game, and I think it's a bit of both. I really couldn't find a lot of videos where people were progressing through the levels smoothly apart from a PAX showing where I assume the developer was in control and even then it seems like the main reason they were doing well was because they knew the level. A big part of this game seems to be knowing whats coming up ahead because the controls don't seem to be responsive enough to course correct at the last second.

It's a neat idea but they probably would need to overhaul the controls to be snappier.

Another thing with the redesign I just noticed is that if you're watching a video there is no way to see what you're actually watching. I wanted to YouTube this and forgot what it was called and it took me a good few moments scrolling around the page to figure out that you need to pause the video for the title to show up.

@humanity: yeah i would agree its a bad design flaw in this redesign , it doesn't show anything abbout the game on the sides anymore and they seem to have gotten rid of the titling and mini paragraph/ quirky sentence they used to have before you click on it even . i could half understand if they all used the same video on 1 page but each video has a page so its just sad. i miss being able to copy nd paste the name of the game from a QL into a search box if i wanted to know more about it after watching. :/

also yeah it seems like a combination of ben not paying attention to the game ( arrows!) possible weird controls and poor level design in way of not knowing whats coming .

Hi. Could you maybe learn to play the game before doing a video? It seems like more and more y'all go for the "I've played this for half an hour, and think that will give me the most comedy in my coverage". I want to know what you think about the game, I don't want to watch you learn to play the game. If you're going in fairly blind then do a playthrough, not a quick look. Cheers :)

Great QL. This game is not for me.

can we at least learn the controls if we're gonna quicklook a game? just jump boost over the gaps, man. quicklooks are supposed to inform me, they originally replaced video reviews in that capacity. whenever i watch a ql like this i just feel like i should play the game and give it the fair shot it looks like it deserves but this ql couldn't deliver.
