Awesome I haven't thought about John Woo simulator in years.

I spent a solid 10 minutes mixing up John Woo with John Wick and wondering exactly when that movie came out.

Goddamn the aiming sensitivity is nauseating

This is a peak B Game

I was really into Stranglehold back when it came out.

Looking back: I was a very, very dumb kid.

Missed this live, what did chat think the game they were gonna play was? Was it Blade Runner?

A perfect mid-tier early generation 360 game. Here's all this new technology, lets take PS2 era game design, shine it up, and let you loose to have a good time.

It might just be my old aged eyes but is the camera whipping round in this making it too hard to watch for anyone else?

Love these type of games where you can get drunk and turn your brain off and make everything in the room explode. Warhammer Space Marine is another favorite.

@lanerobertlane: Yep. Alex should have set the mouse sensitivity down to the minimum. Seems weird to spend the time doing all their video and stream setup only to have the gameplay be almost unwatchable because of a control setting.

Oh, wow. You guys weren't kidding about the mouse sensitivity. Between the movement and the aiming, that camera is all over the place.

I cannot comfortably watch this video! And it's not just the camera speed. I wonder if they didn't see the choppiness to the extent it's happening in the capture.

Behind the scenes, the team behind Ngage was frustrated as management kept wanting more buttons to the device. They also kept rejecting design ideas so one fed-up designer submitted a design as a joke inspired by Goatse....to his surprise that's the design that was approved. So now every time you look at a Ngage you can't unsee goatse. I'm dead serious this is the honest truth.

I'm so glad that they brought back 'Bring Your B-Game'.

Hard Boiled is easily one of the greatest action films of the 90s and one of the greatest of the "golden era" Hong Kong films. I honestly never knew this game was supposed to be a "sequel" but it seems super terrible if that's the case. I mean, it looks like dumb fun, but the story, tone, and everything in this is awful for something supposed to be connected to John Woo's super stylized, noir-ish, overly-dramatic action stuff. Tequilla is a bad ass, but he's not fucking Neo...this kind of takes the stereotype of the HK "bullet opera" and cranks it up to 11, in a bad way.

Yeah the sensitivity makes this kinda unwatchable. Something to keep in mind for future PC streams.

Man, I would've been one of the people hyped for Blade Runner if I had watched this live...but Stranglehold was still dumb fun. Would be a pretty good candidate, if they ever did a show revolving around b-games...

Why no controller support I played this on PC a few years ago and could swear I used one. Maybe I used a mod or Xpadder I can't remember. I missed the pre show so I will have check Giantbomb Unarchived on Youtube hopefully the add it soon.

what a great playdate!!!!! i didnt notice any issues with the video or w/e either. shouldnt yall just bring back the b-game feature? so many xbox360 era games come to mind, or stuff like the first just cause, etc.

Its incredible how good Stranglehold have aged and it holds up strangely great. Really weird how so many better games that era have failed in that regard.

Two points:

1) About five minutes in, Alex adjusts the mouse sensitivity. Past that, it's mostly watchable. I really don't all of the whining about it. Unless those folks have sight issues, I don't understand...

2) Abby appears to not know who Vin Diesel is. How the hell is this possible (especially in the GBEast office) and how did no one say anything in response to her?! You'd think she'd know who he is...

I believe Jim Hanks is voicing the helicopter pilot in that 2006 ass turret sequence. SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE KHIII WOODY

I played the shit out of this demo.

I enjoyed this game SO much I used to replay the museum level lots times, something I normally never do.

The sensitivity isn't the main issue here with the camera jerkiness. I have experienced this same issue in recently playing Max Payne 1 on PC (weirdly, a similar game...). Even if you move the mouse smoothly and slowly, the camera will randomly jump ahead.

Could be mouse acceleration weirdness? I remember having an solid time with Max payne 1 a year or two ago with mouse and keyboard. Maybe I just super turned down sensitivity and got used to it.

Yeah, seems the likely cause. Difference in the way modern Windows handles acceleration compared to old Windows and the way it is interfaced with the game engine, or something.
