If you slapped modern graphics on this, I would have guessed this to just be a DLC for Final Fantasy XV...

I remember being SO excited for this, a bunch of friends had a PS2 viewing party in high school where we all just got together and played a bunch of videogames, including PS2 games...and even back THEN, this game was CRAP. It's so bad, I ALWAYS forget out it in "most disappointing game" talks.

Also voice acting has come a long way, but scripts...still as uneven as it ever was.

And...I would 100% wear that "No Escape" Cactaur leather jacket.

This is when Nomura went off the deep end on character design via lack of editorial oversight.

Also Bojangles > Zaxby's > Popeyes > Chick Fil-A

Do Urban Reign next. Beat-em ups got weird man, especially on PS2.

Haha, I was just saying this to my friends the other day about the memory loss trope in FF games. We just started playing FFXIV and it had me thinking about it.

This game did blow my mind as a kid. My 3rd PS2 game. Jan is correct if you only pick one character the narrative does change focus to be more on your selected character. You get extra boss fights and chapters centered on that character.

Hot take: the first Matrix doesn't hold up.

Beast Wars animation isn't the best in 2019 but it's still easily the best Transformers series/stories told to date.

Count me as another kid who liked The Bouncer and now kind of wants to see what options there are for playing it these days.

Funny enough, I distinctly remember seeing a commercial for Kingdom Hearts and losing my shit over the idea of "Sion is hanging out with Goofy now". Then I realized it wasn't Sion and have never played more than two or three minutes of the tutorial of KH to this day.

So we can will this Films and 40s of watching Beast Wars in reality right?

See, now, Nomura isn't just obsessed with zippers. He's more accurately described as a fastener man. Zippers, buckles, buttons, straps, hooks, rivets, cord with eyelets, belts, collars, bracelets (with fasteners), chains, and nuts & bolts too because future armor.

This is a good game marred by lots of long load times and annoying last hitting AI partners. That said, I still like it.

I swear, that silver-haired guy with the long arm at the end sounds EXACTLY like the cyborg ninja from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. That has to be the same voice actor.

Man if they wanted you to give the other characters a shot, they should've named the game The Bouncers instead!

While the graphics seem quite neat for the time (like it's not too far off FFX 1 year before that got released) nowadays that's not that mindblowing anymore and all that's left is the 20 fights against similar random security guards that keep falling over after each combo. Not great.
