@autumnshade1: The game literally throws a huge 'THIS WILL DELETE YOUR SOLDIER FOREVER' popup at him. Twice. He didn't read em.

Everything about this is incredible. Vinny seemed shellshocked by Dan's steamroller approach to the base, like he was stunned by the pace of it, unable to advise or think clearly as he dismissed soldiers, cancelled half-finished building works, wasted money and messed up skill trees.

The way that last room played out was pure nonsense too, it's like Dan's insane tactics broke the enemy AI to the point where they just cowered bewildered and confused behind cover.

Damn.

Ya'll gonna have heart attacks if you keep up this level of "omg noooo you gotta read what you're looking at and play it RIGHT D:"

The reason they play the way they do is entertaining, let them have fun. Just take a breath and laugh, it's not the end of the world like some people are making it out to be. I love when they accidentally fuck up and cause some shenanigans along the way. If this was played right, I would have stopped watching this series day one. It would have been so boring. If I wanted to watch that, I would just play the game myself.

I'm starting to think GBEast may actually be able to Mr. Bean their way into beating this game.

This episode highlights what I love about these games: At any moment, you can tetter between absolute domination and obliteration. Those last 30 minutes were tense.

This episode just made me realise how kind of weird the reactions from the characters are when you stumble across the human abductees.

Dr Vahlen asks "what could they be hoping to accomplish through this?" It's as if she forgot that she's been experimenting on captured aliens herself (potentially even "interrogating"/torturing live subjects) for the last few months.

This is the most Dan Ryckert thing that has ever happened...

Donna Tello and Gita Jackson, permanently dismissed for no reason because even after multiple episodes, Dan still doesn't really know how to play this game. This is why I look at his 2/5 review of XCOM 2 with more than a little scepticism. Thank god they didn't dismiss someone higher level. I literally screamed "NOOO!" as he did it.

Dan was so, so lucky during the alien base mission. He has like unreal luck. I'm amazed SWERY survived.

This was so painful to watch at times and yet he succeeded anyway through sheer dumb luck. I was about to feel so bad for Abby and Alex.

I’m catching up on the series and I got to this gem... even at his best... definitely the worst of the bunch.

Dan, please pay attention to what you are doing. The horror...

AT least Dan isnt meandering and panicing as soon there are more than two enemies on screen. And he does not have to re-learn the game every dang episode.
