God, I love how insane this movie is.

You know that movie you saw as a kid and were probably way too young to be watching? Yeah, this was that for me...it's really not scary at all but at the time it gave me nightmares about zombies in walls.

Plus the added bonus of living in Europe, where even if you do have the movie available on a streaming service, the podcast keeps getting unsynced. So much pausing and resuming throughout all of the F&F movies and eventually not just caring about it...I still have a good time by the end though.

I hope Event Horizon works out well enough, since it's available over here on Amazon Video too.

Ok, so I know it's funny, but as someone in a region where frames are important, talking whilst syncing is fucking annoying. Glad Alex tried to keep things in check, but still solid content here.

I really appreciated how every demonic thing had some mundane origin in Glenn's fears. The tiny demons were shown in the metal album linernotes. The creepy headless dad was like the ghost story he listened to. I think the tiny-armed giant demon was based off the distorted shadow of his T-Rex toy. Etc.

Essentially the Evil was basing everything off his fears, so it makes sense that things he finds comforting were the most powerful against them.

The whole goth/metalhead thing really annoyed me, hahah. As did Abby's insistence that the kid is "totally into anime!" No, please just stop.

I'd also appreciate a show page for Film and 40s. The catalogue is getting pretty big now, and I think it'd make it a little easier to find past episodes! Glad it's back for another round of halloween movies!

@vibratingdonkey: the PAL dvd will be out of sync with their commentary, as PAL dvds run at a slightly faster speed than american ones. (blu-rays dont have this issue). But the good news is you dont need either, as the whole movie can currently be found on youtube.

Abby was integral to this F&F, loved it. Also that kid would totally be a goth anime nerd if he was born like 10 years later.

I was looking through the Amazon X-Ray trivia and saw mention of fulgurites (when lighning discharges in the soil/sand) I've never heard of them before but with the mention of Phil Tippett/Ray Harryhausen style animation, something like these would make a good enemy in a game or film, a bit like the Hydra's teeth skeletons in Jason and the Argonauts.

As someone whose loved 80's movies I can't believe I've never seen this, it was fantastic. The Goosebumps/Are you afraid of the dark? vibes are strong with this one.

Also as someone with a bigger sister with a similar age difference, some of the Brother/Sister scenes hit close to home.

Also Dan really needs to write an autobiography at some point with his crazy stories.
