Did the regular pod not post yet? I need to go to the supermarket in a sec so I'll have to go for this one. Gotta have my Beasty fill in the walk - especially after the Jeremiah segment last week had me laughing out loud whilst walking down a public street.

There was a freestyle machine at a local place that had Pepsi/Fanta/Tango/Dr Pepper and Cherry Coke.

Each Fanta/Tango had the subflavours, so you could have Lemon Fanta with Vanilla/blackcurrant. It tasted bad.

Did the US not have the practice of choosing a seat when you buy a ticket until now? This is like that credit card chip thing all over again.

ey yo loose real talk-

1) abby is straight crazy- assigned seating is THE ONLY THING that will get me in a theatre these days

2) despite that stimulating twitt-iquette talk, that service continues to absolutely confound me.

I usually watch most movies in a reclining chair, with a blanket and food delivered to me. It costs $5 where I live for that. There's also another cinema chain which straight up offers a bed for two people.

Wait, people actually like those freestyle machines? They just slow everything down when people can't figure them out. Or some little kid decides he needs one drop of every one of the 200 choices they have on the thing. Or the touchscreen breaks.

I need some more Jeremiah in my life.

In fact, I think that Brett, Margaret, Jeremiah, and Will Smith should have their own podcast.

I haven't yet listened, but I'll make an assumption or two and say: Dan is wrong. Zelda II is one of the best Zelda games.

You can totally sell/buy human bones. It's mostly legal for medical study purposes...for other purposes is fine as long as you don't ask to many questions from either end.

I was just in Europe(Prague, Germany, Amsterdam) and saw several of the same spots Alex did. We did free walking tours in the cities and learned a bunch of stuff. The buildings in Amsterdam actually had facades (fake fronts) built on the front hence the disney town look. The buildings were built with an intentional lean to allow the goods being lifted from the canals not to hit the front of the building. The constant flooding have increased the lean though. Super interesting though!

Either I'm crazy or Dan claiming he's "whatever the opposite of a germaphobe is" is INSANE AS HELL. Hasn't he been very freaked out by stuff on the podcast(s) before? Or am I just misremembering and it was just bugs in dates?

Also might look into another thing from the south with pickles mentioned a little in the emails, the koolickles. Good Eats host Alton Brown went around via motorcycle looking into the regional foods to try out. Here's the one on the south complete with recipes.

I think they should start including early access games in the GOTY discussion (as well as full reviews). Since they charge money for access and that should mean they're liable to the same scrutiny as any other paid product.

I also appreciate Abby's frugality. I do exactly the same thing. Keep hustling!

The $200 Oculus thing isn't going to be anything more than basically a Gear VR with the screen and computer bits included. I'm sure they'll market it as mostly a way to watch VR video, and some very primitive games might work on it.

Whenever I visit the neighboring city, I tend to go to the theater over there. If I'd live over there, I would probably go see movies multiples times in a week. The tickets can be expensive, but I still enjoy seeing something on the big screen enough to pay the price.

Also, being able to reserve a seat is great. I think that's been a thing over here for almost 10 years.

I did a Googlie, because I don't know what Baby Driver is, and apparently Anthony bourdain has strong opinions about Baby Driver.

Also, I like going to movie theaters still, too. I just don't have a lot of time. I go to every Rifftrax, though. The theaters here are nice, though. I don't know what's wrong with the theaters y'all go to (y'all were talking about having bad theaters). The ones around me (there are several) are great.

Edit: oh, and Flatliners is one of my favorite movies from when I was a kid. Kevin Bacon, Keifer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, William Baldwin, and Oliver Platt. Yes I think it's still an amazing movie. I do not want to see the remake it can only disappoint.

Pickles are the best! A co-worker of mine from Texas brought in pickle popcorn, which was probably the worst pickle-thing I've ever tried, though.

Really bummed about the Beast in the East announcement. It made Mondays worth looking forward to. Considering how long the epilogue is, the episode hopefully is over 2 hours long.

It probably isn't like, a clinically diagnosable level of it, but yeah, there have been several times on various podcasts where Dan has seemed very particular about cleanliness, in a way that is above and beyond what a typical American human would care about.

Green olives are my all-time favorite food. It's my go-to topping on pizza, and I can eat an entire jar in one sitting. When I was in elementary school, my favorite sandwich to take for lunch was two slices of white bread with green olives (sliced in half) and yellow mustard. *Nobody* ever asked to trade lunch with me.

So guys I dont want to be a bummer or nuthin, but I have found myself in a very unique situation financially, so I am working pretty much 12 - 18 hours a day, seven days a week for the forseeable future. It's nothing patricularly bad, just a side-road I want to go down. After staring at my screen for the last 11 hours I have ever been so happy to log he fuck out and switch the fuck on the beastcast. I will light my one and only weekly jazz cigarette (I save it for my bakalaraman) and absorb the sweet sounds of Jeremy and Co, while playing hearthstone on my phone.

I am in heaven. Join me.

All hail BAKALAR.

BAKALAR.

BAKALAR.

Sounds like a star trek villian.

I really don't like going to movie theaters. I don't like being around all the people, all the whispering and mumbling people do during the movies, the price of everything. I hope someday I'll be able to just stream new movies from the comfort of my own home without having to wait 3-4 months for the home/digital release.
