@humanity: You're not alone. Bits of it were ok, but the whole episode becoming an audio clip show was eh. I guess it doesn't help that I'm not in the same age group as these guys, so I couldn't have identified any of the shows nor most of the (non-modern) games on my own due to not being familiar with them.

I absolutely cannot believe they did not even mention the Bodycount (IceT's rap/metal band) and their Gears of War song lovingly titled, Gears of War.

I forget where but I heard a film podcast do a bit where they would pull film scores and isolate iconic parts down to 1 second chunk, 3 chunk, and a longer reveal chunk. Then the other hosts would have to try and guess the movie it was from. It was fun because they would go for stuff that would be the most embarrassing for the others to not get. If they couldn't get it from the short clip then they'd move on to the second or third. If the Hotspot hasn't gotten the music bug out of its system it might be a fun way to make it more of a game.
