When I was a kid playing PC I thought it was pronounced "Gehb" too. Gib just looks like that is how it should be pronounced. Then I grew up and realized that gib is supposed to be short for giblet and hence is pronounced "Jib". 
 
It's actually really cool to see someone out there made the same mistake I did.

That was great. It's kinda sad seeing something that people put lots of time and energy into just vanish in front of their eyes. Oh well, at least it was a hell of a party for them.

i heard about this game when it first came out, and i really wanted to play it, i didnt have no money at the time though, but like a couple weeks after it came out i never saw it in stores anymore which sucked cuz i woulda boughten it
 
atleast if u look on the MXO forums there are people making a private server for the game its not complete right now, but its being developed, when it comes out im definately getting the game and playing it on there, u can play on teh server right now if u wanted but there are no quests or anything yet u can only run around from what i read
