Ugh, this Zach guy sounds like his brain is only functioning at 50%, yet he gets away with all of this. Infuriating. But at the same time it makes so much sense. You will never be able to convince literally millions of people that jumping on a 'free' good cause with a fun picture is actually a bad thing to do. It's slacktivism + being able to post YOUR fun picture to the world! That's like 70% of the reason people are on social media. And with bots, any message can reach a vast amount of people before some Sherlock Holmes can attempt to put the brakes to a scam. (Which is a message that only 0.1% of the people will pay attention to probably)

I start to think the better way to stop people from falling for these dropship scams is to keep shouting at the void that Alibaba & Wish are places on the internet you can travel to if you like badly made cheap stuff. Making more people know about cheap dealz is probably more attainable than asking them to not be mindlessly sharing their cute pictures around.

The instagram is STILL up like nothing's happened. Comments on the post seem to be normal, too.. though I feel that he's probably deleting anything critical.

If you have an RTX series graphics card you can remove the banging when watching this by using the nvidia broadcast software.

I think I've finally realized why the term "brain rot" bothers me so much: it's used to downplay the actual, tangible negative effects of social media. Tam's refusal to acknowledge internet addiction, and instead preferring the "brain rot" meme, was the perfect example of this.

I love these three and this show, but fuck this Zach guy and all the other pyramid scheme folks out there.

Might be known issues, but I don't see any video playing, and Download only pops up the audio version as well.

Love this show, it's really well researched and super interesting. It feels like a shame you guys only post these on the website and not youtube or somewhere more accessible to a larger audience. But you probably know better than me if it would be worth doing that. This episode especially feels like a great way to educate those less well versed in the scammy, darker side of the internet.

Finally found some free time today and I just binged episodes 6 through 11. This show is fantastic. Big ups to Bakalar, Lucy, Tam, Jess, and Jan! Excellent work researching, editing, dissecting, reacting, etc. Every episode so far is a banger.

Apologies if you already upgraded or you did this already (I'm still behind), but Nvidia actually allows RTX Voice to run on older 1000 series cards now! Their newer GPUs use the newer app, Nvidia Broadcast, but RTX Voice has the background noise removal feature.

Just a little tidbit of info if the neighbour decides to muck with the carpet sometime soon.
