Super Bonk on the SNES was one hell of a messed-up game, but way ahead of its time.

Day drinking is a mixed bag, sometimes you drink a good amount in the nice sunshine with friends, take a nap, and none are the wiser. Other times it leads to bingeing and days of regret.

Elena never really did it for me 'cause it's so obvious it is rotoscoped. I know some people are way into that look, but I view it as like barely a step up from photographing people on greenscreens and putting them in a game. It looks uncanny and off to me. Street Fighter 3 has a lot of amazing character animation apart from her, though. Chun-li from third strike is probably my favorite sprite-based thing ever. I think most of my favorite spritework in general is from fighting games just 'cause the sprites are so big and detailed. In a lot of games, and particularly modern sprite-based games, the trend is to go super simple and, animate those super simple sprites with a lot of frames and then slap some sort of lighting on it. It works, but it's not that impressive. It's rare that something like Owlboy comes out and actually looks just awesome.

My approach to drinking is the polar opposite of Jeff's. I like drinking in a bar when it is quiet, drinking at a leisurely pace, switching from a quiet bar to another, with no intention of getting drunk. I'm maybe a bit buzzed or even lightly drunk after it, but then I'll call it an evening before the crowds roll in.

I didn't care about battle royale til Jeff mentioned Twisted Metal. Holy shit, what a perfect fit.
