The more Diablo coverage the better. Love the game and watching other people play it. It definitely helps that this game is great about Alt-tabbing and multiple monitors so I don't have to stop playing.

I was cynical, but I gave the game a try and it's probably my favourite game this year so far.

After playing to act 3 last night I can tell you this game isn't mediocre at all, it's insanely fun, if you have friend... which you might not given your attitude :(

Not to sound like a jerk but I just could not get into this TNT, I had to just stop and wander off. I've never really been into Diablo but I figured their banter would be enough to keep me entertained, and even that seemed kind of downplayed. It's like they were too focused on the game or something, weird! But yeah, I dunno, this just didn't do it for me.

That is some premier, I dare say classic, internet negativity. It's weird seeing in here because while we have our fair share of shitty comments, they seem to be at least a notch above the base crap that you see at bigger gaming sites or the internet in general.

Great fun to watch you guys. Probably one the best TNTs of recent memory! I feel more at peace with the way D3 is going after watching this. The gameplay today had a decent amount of nostalgic feel for me. The hectic arguing, the anger, the child-like joy of new loot. This is what Diablo is all about even though it's mostly retreading the same old ground all over again, just like much of Starcraft 2. And it's surprising how obtuse the UI still is - the streamlining is both annoying and ineffective at the same time (just let players teleport to buddies by clicking the portrait like in Sacred for fucks sake, what's up with the pointless revive/ town portal/ banner system?!?). The game generally isn't even polished like Blizzard games supposedly are, what with the busted launch, gamebreaking bugs (the follower shield thing) and even sort of 'work in progress' game systems.

I guess that's where I'm out as far as actually buying it myself. This games is as busted as the ones that came before - Diablo 1 & 2, Titan Quest, Sacred 1 - but also requires me to pay full price and buy into their MMO-esque scheme with yet another useless online service attached to it. And I can't stomach all of that at the same time, that's just too much trouble for practically playing the same goddamn game all over again. If you love MMOs, haven't played a Diablo game yet or just psychologically need that Blizzard brand on your product this shit will probably legitimately blow your mind, I can see that now, but I don't need to play this.

Also, I must say the Butcher's taste has degraded in horrible ways! What was wrong with your sweet-ass room decorated with the insides of people old buddy?!

Apple makes PCs, as does Dell, and HP, and Toshiba....

Intel makes parts for PCs, so does AMD. Microsoft makes software and hardware for PCs.

PCs can run any sort of hardware, software...so long as a computer is for personal use (I.E. not a server or large development workstation, or some industrial device...), it is a PC.

Now, that being said, there are very few reasons (hardly any of them really valid in today's world) to purchase an Apple-produced PC. Nearly every thing you can do with an Apple product can be achieved with non Apple-specific hardware, and can be performed under a Windows, Linux, or other OS. Apple products have never been impervious to malware..and recently, nefarious groups around the world have once again focused their energies on making Apple-specific viruses, trojans, and ransomware. Overall account and computer security is no stronger on an Apple machine versus a properly set up machine with any other OS on it...and the same can be said for user friendliness.

However, if you truly do like the look and feel of an Apple product, and if you do a *lot* of multimedia design work, or if you don't have the time or the energy to learn how to make non-Apple computers work for you the way you want them to....go ahead and buy an Apple computer.

So in spite of my fears, I bought it today for my 2007 iMac... and it runs fine! Phew. That's now the second Blizzard game Brad's got me into.

I've personally really been enjoying the fact that the guys aren't perfect at video games, I think it's a lot more fun this way. I think a flawless performance in these games would be pretty damn boring. This way the victories they do get are that much sweeter for me to witness.

In other words, I really enjoyed this.

While I love Giantbomb and the guys, it was a little frustrating watching this QL. I just wanted to be in the room to provide friendly advice :)!

Here's a tip I got that I've found pretty useful: map the "stand in place" key to your space bar. You can comfortably hit it with your thumb without taking your fingers off the number keys.

And I disagree that it's not worth picking up the white items. Any gold counts! And it takes very little time to warp to town and sell it all.

If it's going to be just game play - they need to pair a funny guy (Vinny or Jeff) with someone who isn't (Brad, Patrick, or Ryan) - to balance the funny factor.

@i8246i: While what you say is completely true, people differentiate the words PC and Mac for the sake of convince. It sounds better and is much easier to say then, "Windows Computer" or "Linux Machine".

In my experiences with D3, I freaking love it. Really the only thing I miss from the previous games is being able to distribute attribute points manually and having attribute requirements on gear. I do however feel this game is much larger than D2 and love playing every single class, unlike D2.

My favourite part was how Will would basically troll them in the in-game chat. Always gotta find a way don't you, Will.

Considering I don't think Jeff is super interested in this, and Vinny+Dave are running the camera and other equipment I think you can appreciate the situation.

Edit: Correction, Dave is in the middle of a huge site redesign, Drew is the one helping Vinny.

The preview picture says alot about what your eyes think about Diablo III, my eyes are so damn red after playing this game too much. Gotta love eyestrain.

Yeah you should be sweet. There's a check box here which will drop off all the extra processing, make sure you have the resolution a bit lower than your monitors default cause you'll get a better frame rate. I even have low shadows, high textures and physics and it runs smooth as a babies. Play with the settings till you get it perfect!

I can't help but pick up everything when it's free to town portal back at any time.

Diablo is really boring. With Dave, Vinny and Jeff playing it though, that would have been awesome
