Just an update: I ordered the pizza. It took an hour and a half but the guy was super cool, I tipped 25% (the max that dominos website lets you put on your card for some reason).

I'm not privy to the pizza industry specifically, but as a veteran of the service industry, some businesses cap the amount of tips you're allowed to leave your servers because they think that it'll cut down on servers giving their friends free stuff, and the friends reciprocating by leaving them disproportionately large tips.

Personally, I disagree, because I feel that nothing says "The owner thinks you peasants are low-life thieves and you're lucky that you get the scraps we give you" like artificially forcing the employees to make less money, but there you go. For what it's worth, I've only seen this practice with large corporations that don't bother to form congenial relationships with their employees.

The best bad sports team name will always be the Chicago Orphans. For 4 years before becoming the Chicago Cubs, they were know as the Orphans, after their manager Cap "Pop" Anson left the team. Since they lost their "pop", they became the Orphans, but sadly the name didn't stick.

It doesn't, really. Anyone who's taken a modern business management course will probably know that employees giving/taking "freebies" away from work is much more frequent when the employee feels overworked, underpaid and otherwise owed-some-sort-of-bonus-for-all-the-crap their work puts them through, but there's that old-school corporate thought of "threaten your employees into submission" that still persists (although, fortunately, seems to be dying off).

I actually tried to wipe sitting down and after the first wipe i was about to throw down the toilet paper and found myself standing already :D pushing the paper through your legs or to the side of your legs without either the hand or the paper hitting the toilet is more annoying than just standing up and letting it fall in. Don't get me wrong, it's not 'hard' but i feel like standing up is easier.

I'm a sitter but I absolutely stand in public bathrooms for this reason. I don't mind if my arm accidentally brushes against my own toilet seat, but if that happens on a public toilet I'm 100% burning my whole arm off forever.

Wow @benpack, 5% tip is savagely low. Tip 15-20% on all food purchases IMO (caveat: if you can afford it. If you're ordering food regularly, YOU CAN.). Treat all sisters and brothers the way you would want to be treated for their labor.

@benpack Tipping for delivery does not, in fact, scale differently than tipping at a restaurant, and you definitely should be tipping 15-20% and not some flat amount that might end up being less than that. Your $9, 12% tip rate was extremely unfair to that driver. Most delivery drivers still get paid at the lower-than-minimum-wage "tip wage", and on top of that often have to deal with a lot of people giving them $0 tips or $2 "flat" tips, while also putting miles/damage/wear on their own personal vehicles, which isn't reflected in their pay at all.

Also, in GL Quake, you could only see through the water if the server was running modified maps that treated water as see-through. It was up to server operators to decide if they thought it was fair, at first, and later it was up to the map authors compiling new custom maps.
