Come on over and watch Dan and Brad play this shooter that's got a little bit of everything.

These guys are being treated like shit, which no matter what you think of their anything is like.

Come on. It's just fuckin' videogames. Be nice.

That said, some of the defensive who came first stuff has been pretty misleading. Overwatch gameplay has been out there from the start. With all the big headliners.

The Paladins reveal, along with some quotes around the time of "Working on it for a year" came a bit under a year later.

But like, whatever. See Blizzard's ABC (Always Be Creatinghitvideogames) machine whirring up, aiming to inject some life, interest, and money into a genre left a little by the mainstream wayside. Make the savvy investment of a dev team into a game that will swim in the massive market space it's sure to create, with a proven and undeniably popular payment model that provides a lower barrier of entry. Devs doing work and getting paid.

With even a conservative estimate on when Titan switched over to Overwatch, Hi-Res has probably had half the Dev time with probably a slightly smaller team (exact numbers p hard to get). It's honestly pretty admirable that they've put out something even comparable, and with plenty of twists of their own to boot.

At the end of the day, some hard-working devs put out a pretty solid product, that will probably do pretty well, and they'll get to eat and live and develop more games. Sounds like a win to me. The mechanically savvy dwarf is preeeeetty much the closest thing to a straight pull and like... who else are you going to make build shit?

And all this dick-waving is moot anyway, because Battleborn beats all their dates handily :P

TL;DR, Originality is a Myth and Hard working devs get to eat this month.

On first blush, yeah it's pretty blatant. There's so many similarities it's hard not to raise an eyebrow.

However, I feel you can only do so much with hero shooters before something, whether a skill or hero themselve has analog in another hero shooter.
