Haven't watched the video yet, but this statement is the truth.

This is Early Access: The Game.

I feel so bad knowing there's probably a lot of work that went into this... but they totally should have waited longer before charging money for it.

Yeah, from what I gather he feels that it's finished. He just wants to tidy up some bugs, and improve the animation..... before he gets started on expansion packs and DLC.

They should have just taken fallout 4(or 3!) and modded it to do most of this stuff...release it for free.

@gunflame88: if streamers and youtube channels tearing apart games like this apart actually helped the games sell, the developers of such games wouldn't issue copyright strikes and lawsuits against Jim Sterling et al.

God, the minute you start asking people to buy your game and exchange money for it, you're open to criticism and that's regardless of your team size, budget, time or whatever.

There are amazing games made by lone developers and there are a TON of bad games made by lone developers...this game ain't amazing at all.

At first I wondered whether this would hurt the future sales of this title if it looked bad now but had the potential to be a good game, but the first mission turned out to be a dumb fetch quest and it made me realize that it wouldn't have mattered.

@gomezar7: yes I've watched many hours hours of giant bomb. It doesn't answer the question of why they chose this particular game to invest their time and energy into playing.

I know Vinny can and does break any game. Just wondering why they picked this early access game over all the other available games in the world. They don't need to use a broken game for cheap laughs. That's more of a YouTube reaction guy thing.

If you've watched Giantbomb, and listened, you know they pick the games they show off either to share, inform or to entertain. Sometimes you or I might not see the value in some picks but that doesn't mean they don't.

I for one loved this QL. Laughs were had, cheap or not, and in these troubling times we can use all the laughs we can get. It also informed me that this game is to be avoided at all costs.

As for what "youtube reaction guys" do, I can't say I care as I don't watch any nor would it detract from my entertainment value of this QL if I did. Giantbomb has been "reacting" to games longer than dare I say any "youtube reaction guy".

Game development being easier than ever to get into, and people deciding to try to learn, is great. But this shit is like a grown man tracing kids' drawings, slapping them over the paintings in an art museum, and selling a 2 hour talk about how he drew them. Just completely arrogant and shameless.

These scam hack frauds taking zero pride in their work, how do they get greenlit? How was this game allowed to be an early access release? Shouldn't Valve have some kind of screening process before dumping all the risk on their users? Because this game will probably never get finished. He'll abandon or 1.0 the thing tomorrow or something and move on to the next hack game.

That ending, haha.

@vibratingdonkey: I wouldn't worry about the game getting "finished" because the developer also said in a dev vlog that the game was "finished... for the most part" and he's just play testing and polishing it now. LOL

So even the idea of it being "early access" is very misleading to all the suckers who might buy this thinking it will improve.

I also wouldn't say the developer lacks pride in his work. In fact, I think it's probably the exact opposite. He does have some skill, but he's probably surround my people (by choice or chance) who never offer him any constructive criticism. So he thinks everything he does is amazing. This is why I feel a little sorry for the guy.

As much as I dislike that a this game is being sold in the state it's in(and the whole slimy 3 hour talk deal) I have to say if he/she weren't doing that, we would have never got the end of this QL which for me personally is a classic ending to a QL, so I guess for that I'm happy?

People are questioning why this got covered? How about the fact that it's fun to goof on bad games, and nobody does that better than Vinny and company. I thought it was hilarious. Thanks guys!

The area they get to at 15:00 and pause at is eerily similar to the opening level in Star Wars Jedi Knight 3/Academy.

Maybe I'm optimistic or just naive, but I always get the feeling with a bunch of these terrible games that the developers never had the intention to scam people, but rather they had some real unrealistic views of the game and its quality. Especially if you are a lone developer spending a lot of time working on a game, I would assume that it's easy to get in that kind of mindset.

Either way, the game is terrible in its current state and in now way worth the price point.

What is the point with steam greenlight, if thrash like this gets a free pass?

Loved it! However, this thing feels like a scam.

@elmorales94: i think its mostly the new guys to the site that complain, but we need more quick looks like this masterpiece. i think this is a close second to the Bequest Quicklook.

As entertaining as this was, was anyone else incredibly frustrated that Vinny wouldn't follow the incredibly simple (albeit awful) instructions. I'm positive he was doing it on purpose to be silly, but man... I just wanted him to look for the scrolls! A game this bad would likely be entertaining no matter what. I really didn't need the "He said turn right immediately!" stuff.

what a horrible game, sadly this unfinished will probably be abandonware, while everyone who played over 2 hours is stuck with an incomplete mess.

Vinny playing horribly glitched games should be a regular feature.

This game is an embodiment of everything that is wrong with Steam Early Access at the moment. I'm surprised Jim Sterling hasn't talked about this one.

He doesn't need to get sued AGAIN..
