Unfinished: Super Mario Odyssey 09/20/2017

Smart of them to put the 2d levels in the game. Feel like the 3d mario's are way less about precision platforming and more about using the environment compared to the 2d ones. Being able to put both styles of platforming in one game, will make sure that pretty much every mario fan has something to truly enjoy.

That said, if you think Sunshine is a bad game, i feel like you will dislike quite a bit about this game. Because all the 3d stuff looks way more like Sunshine than Galaxy for instance. Especially the bosses are very Sunshine-esque. At least the controls are not inverted anymore.

In a year where the top 10 will be filled with games that could be Game of the Year any other year, Super Mario Odyssey will be the one atop them all

Ugh. This is the game that's going to make me drop a bunch of money on a new console, isn't it? Maaaan, this looks great.

That NES filter looked soooooo cool. I'm really glad I got a Switch!

They made Mario x Kirby. Or something...

I'm not very interested in this either. Not much on the Switch is enticing enough for me to consider buying the console. I know my friends love it, and I know it'll be a great game for a lot of people, just not my cup of tea.

In an industry of silly press coverage restrictions, Nintendo still manages to be head-and-shoulders above them all in ridiculousness. 2 minute clips and no longer than 10 minutes total? Who comes up with this nonsense?

It looks nice and vibrant, though. I look forward to hearing about how it all ties in together. I have a weird feeling that the overarching game that links all these things may not be all too great. Don't know why I have that feeling, but I do. I hope I'm wrong. Doesn't really matter for me, though; I'll most likely never own a Switch, so I won't be playing this game.

@steveurkel: Mario Sunshine and stiff controls do not belong in the same sentence.
