For real, though, Outcast is legit my favorite Star Wars game. It is truly one of the best SW games, period.

I love the call in show format as a switch up to the normal UPF. Very happy that I got the chance to ask a question and didn't sound like a complete mouth-breather while doing it!

EDIT: Nevermind. This is cool, but it makes more sense on the podcast. If duders want to try something different with UPF, perhaps doing something in their full studio with something requiring a video feed. Doesn't need to be games, but if it's just taking callers in a podcast studio with no visuals short of shots of people's faces, I don't know if that's really new...that's kind of just the video podcast.

I get that the studio is under construction with the upgrade to 1080p60, but man...I made it through about 3 callers live and just couldn't bring myself to care.

yeah, still giving them the benefit of the doubt...but really starting to question my continuing yearly renewal. Premium content has been scant, and what there has been has been lacking.

Word, I can only hope once the 1080p pipeline is going and they get their new hires they will pick up the pace because the East office is carrying right now.

to all the doomsayers: studio construction is happening and there's always next week so you'll survive. :) i don't mind them changing it up like this now and then (even if it isn't out of necessity).

re vr: i think it would help bolster interest if like with RE devs just offer the option to play through their entire game in VR. maybe even just have it displayed in the VR headset and forego the head tracking (though i wonder if this is something else that will cause nausea). maybe it wouldn't work or still be too expensive to simply graft it onto every (at least first-person) game, but one can dream.

@ripelivejam: I don't think anybody is questioning their own survival. I also don't think it's wrong to voice disappointment at the not-UPF UPF unless they don't care what people think of the content. I personally don't care if they change things up but my life right now has no room for podcasts, and I'd rather not spend my little free time JUST watching people talk. Even worse, for me, when it's taking calls. Not to mention they already have two podcasts a week. It's not interesting to me at all and this ends up being non-content and a disappointment. It's not I'm gonna kill myself disappointment more like someone screwed up a food order. I'll be fine but it would have been BETTER if it was right the first time.

Watching the team last week browse animal videos while a game installs because they didn't prepare ahead of time or have a backup plan and then this week a podcast that I can't listen to as a podcast is a real bummer.

I've wondered about the YouTube audience demographics too, and it does seem to be a younger person's thing, at least much more so than other major websites like Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, which seem to be more diverse age-wise. And I can say from experience in the infamous YouTube comments section, there sure are a lot of teenagers and kids on there.

Personally, I'm 26 and YouTube started getting big when I was in high school. I've always spent quite a bit of time on there, but started getting really into it as a primary content source only in the last few years or so. I've got a huge list of subscriptions for all manner of subjects, which I do use as designed. It's almost like TV 2.0, with a huge channel list and tons of diverse content, but taken to the extreme because it's the Internet and there's literally everything on there. I also haven't had TV in years (and I don't miss that content model whatsoever), so that obviously has something to do with it in my case.

I hope they're underclocking everything in that new video processing rig.

I kind of hate when they do weird things with this show. This call in thing should be something else.

Also, just reiterating my support for a GB Hockey Jersey. Take your time, source the right manufacturer, and I won't mind paying a premium for it.
