I love call in shows. Please do more!

I'll repeat from the last one. I like their call in shows but not at the expense of UPF. Disappointing.

I miss my UPF fun game times. Was really hoping these last two weeks with Drew would've been more special. Hopefully he does a send off show like Austin & Vinny.

Ugh.... Not a fan of the call-in episodes.

They're running short staffed and in the middle of hiring and getting things ready for Jason to take over production full time. Cut them some slack if they have to take it a bit easy on the west coast.

For a split second I thought maybe the KGB might have poisoned Jeff with that Switch card. Drew is a sleeper agent after all.

I love to hear the GB crew sit around and talk but I do agree with a few others here, I dislike when it's at the expense of UPF. Love the random games and conversations they inspire.

Please make this another feature rather than in place of UPF.

@hellabears: Is it really that much more demanding to sit around and play video games rather than sit around and take calls? Anyway, I think I decided tonight that I'm cancelling my premium. The last handful of UPFs have been a mix of uninteresting call-in shows, technical messes and general boredom. I realized tonight that I don't know what I'm paying for anymore. The East coast is still putting out some good stuff, but I feel like things have generally been on the decline ever since the power duo of Jeff and Vinny split up. Now that Drew's leaving, I just feel like the chances of them ever recapturing the old dynamic is getting increasingly slim.

I know some people will say I'm just whining and nothing lasts forever, and the guys should be free to change things however they see fit. Those are all valid points I guess, but none of it changes the fact that I'm just not enjoying this site the way I used to.

@electrotherobot: Dan + Jeff was a good power-duo to replace Jeff + Vinny. Now we have Vinny + Dan + Alex which I think is really great. But with Drew leaving West, I see this slump continuing for quite a while longer... Why are we replacing normal shows like UPF with this call-in podcast business? There're premium videos I want to watch but they're so few and far these days.

Just some humble feedback but i don't have any interest in a call in show, it's awesome if people enjoy it and if so it should totally be a feature but maybe it shouldn't replace UPF in the schedule, or if it does make it consistent or change the name so i don't need to bother tuning in :)

@worlddude: Your unnecessary, flippant comment isn't helpful to anyone, and just comes off as dickish. I'm merely providing customer feedback by explaining why I'm canceling my premium membership. No disrespect to any of the guys on the site or anyone who doesn't feel the same as me.

How do people on call-in shows still not understand to turn down the audio they're listening to?

@hotjala: Vinny and Dan are pretty good together. Alex... It's hard to say without sounding like a dick, but I just never felt like he really mixed well with anyone here. He's always felt like more of a wet blanket to me. But I understand I'm probably in the minority in feeling that way.

When the East and West coast guys get together for game of the year and e3 stuff, it always serves as a reminder of how much I wish they were all still together. I don't feel like they've ever totally delivered on the concept of producing more regular content by splitting into 2 offices. It's becoming more of a reality lately now that the East is producing more regular features, but still, it feels like a tradeoff that wasn't entirely worth it. At least, in my opinion.

That being said, none of us know the circumstances that led to that decision, I guess. If, say, Vinny was just fed up with living on the West coast and would have left the site entirely otherwise, then I guess it was a preferable compromise.

Sorry duders but I can't help but feel a little disappointed when we get a podcast instead of upf.

I wouldn't go as far to say I'm going to cancel my premium but I will say I'm not a fan of this becoming a regular thing at the expense of one UPF a month. Found it s bit weird that it was introduced by jeff saying it's the last Friday of the month so time for our call in... Did I miss where it was announced that it was a thing?

I was really hoping for a couch UPF. Not a fan of this format. I've got enough podcasts.

Oh, this is a regular thing now. Hell, I'll give it a shot, especially with some Switch stuff. (Oh, and eff you, Wings is great. :P )

I commented on the last UPF call in show that I was disappointed there was no podcast version. They did go back and add a podcast version of the last show and it's good to see they posted the podcast along with this new show. Thanks @drewbert

My advice: bring back old video games! Look back at the old UPFs, it's all old weird stuff and they were a lot of fun. Jeff/Brad/Rorie/Jason can be a great crew for the time being if they have something fun to riff on

I don't mean this to be mean, but it's going to come off that way: if the choices on Friday afternoon are nothing (but the crew can unwind/prepare other segments/get back-end shit done), and this format, I'd take the nothing. Classic UPF and similar couch segments are what got me hooked, and I will watch (and certainly have watched) the back catalog of those three, four times a year, but I just can't with these, I'm sorry. No offense to the crew, the idea, or the callers, but I originally came for the crew palling around on the couch and PC with some games and Steak-umms.

Not going to cancel my sub over this, but it's a worrying trend and I certainly don't hope this happening on the regular is real.
