Having to spend oil (and money) to get your support drops wasn't the worst thing about Mercs 2, it was that you were forced to buy all of your drops between missions at certain friendly bases. As Dan showed, in Mercs 1 you could just pop open your PDA and buy ANY drop at any time, even during missions, which allowed for some really good creativity. In Mercs 2 that all went away so if you had a great idea for how you could use a vehicle or airstrike during a mission you weren't able to access that stuff until afterwards.

I remember the general roaming around being fun in Mercs 2 thanks to some more sophisticated physics and the addition of boats. The lack of a deck of 52, the gimped co-op, and the overall poor mission design really did let the game down though.

Which Demo Derby had the portable amp ad?

I remember playing the Mercenaries demo, immediately went out the the best buy to get a copy only to find out it wasn't out yet, lost track of time and never ended up getting it. Almost contemplating picking up a xbox just for that game. Same thing happened with Jade Empire.

Regarding the random eject issue for PS4. I fixed mine by re-seating the rubber foot behind and below the power/eject buttons.

Jeff and Dan did this one while Drew was in Vietnam. Lots of great stuff, like Outlaw Golf 2! And by great, I mean terrible. Like... Outlaw Golf 2! The amp ad is near the end.

I like how nobody noticed the fact that Drew won by only .07 seconds. It was the most nonchalant finish ever.

@drewbert did you ever play a game on the original Xbox called Rallisport Challenge? It was published by MGS. That's the game that got me into rally racing.
