@emtee: Jason just needs a second video producer. Having to produce from the couch like that has got to be very tough. If someone was in the control booth they'd be watching the the output the entire time and this wouldn't happen.

Lol at Brad thinking the Surge is short because it has 5 bosses and Souls games have more. IT'S NOT A SOULS GAME! It's fundamentally different in about as many ways as it is similar. There's a point where describing a thing as a ______-like is no longer useful, and the Surge is clearly beyond it.

Actually, in general I would like to decree a ban on using the Souls games as a touchstone for judging anything, with the POSSIBLE exception of other Souls games. I love that game series to death, but I am very unhappy at the idea at the idea that its flaws and limitations will be enshrined along with its good qualities as inherent to the "Souls-Like Genre" because Video Game People don't like to think about ontology.

Nemesis system would work great in roguelites. Each run would have strong enemies carry over to balance the whole gaining new upgrades that pass along.
