I wanna make fun of Dan for this but honestly all those plot points track with what I remember.

Nope, Dan nailed every plot of each game. They were all perfect. Was he reading a script off of wikipedia? Cause he nailed it. Good job Dan.

V is Vergils human half, the tree is his demon half. How was that major plot point missed. lmao. Also his name is literally just V. Vergil starts with V. It's not subtle.

I didn't play any of these games so just going to assume it was all accurate

Seriously, if he did all this from memory that's fairly impressive. All I'd be able to tell someone off the top of my head about the plot of Devil May Cry 5, for instance, is "well there's Dante and that other guy and that other guy and... there's a woman who drives a van I think? Dante wears a hat at some point. That's about all I got."

Well I don't know any better so I'm going to believe every word of that.

I didn't play a lot of these games sadly, but I think Dan has a way better memory than me as I typically forget names of characters, dates, and such. Like in Modern Warfare there's Price and then... ??? I forget.

Just in general this is the most Dan video ever.

I love/am baffled by dan remembering the slightly obscured story of why Virgil hates Dante but not the very overtly explained of who V is.

Despite not using marijuana, Dan has the memory of a 67 year old headshop owner.

These solo videos are really weird. I like the topic ideas for each video, but having another person to bounce off of would have probably flowed better. Someone above me suggested, for instance, having another crew member in this video to tell Dan how close he was and I kind of want that now (similar to the quizzes they take on the Beastcast).

That being said Dan did great! I thought this was going to be a small train wreck but he really only fumbled a little bit about Control.

Either Dan's memory is actually amazing, or maybe I should start really worrying about mine. I also played MK11 paying full attention to the story, and I would not be able at all to recall why the time shenanigans start happening.

Dan's memory of MK 11 seems about right. Still feel MK 9 had the best story out of the modern trilogy at least till right near the end it.

The whole thing about Gears is that this is a Locust planet that COG "inadvertently" invaded, because the Locust live underground and nobody noticed them until the surface had been colonised.

Based on his GotY list, he understood Outer Wilds (which has a very subtle plot told in a rather piecemeal manner which would be extremely easy to miss) but somehow completely donked Gears 5.

The human mind is a wonderful thing.
