That stream was so professional.

Every single time I see someone reference GBeast I want to put a - between the g and b. Its so close to an english-name for some boss character.

"Beware, the G-Beast, it is coming for your children!"

And so, as much as fan I am of the content, (exactly like this! Thank you!) the eastern team puts out, the name they have chosen (were given by the community?) is also absolutely excellent.

The chat is wrong, the Graveyard Duck is, in the Japanese version, referring to an actual duck. Like, quack quack duck. Find the duck in the graveyard to live longer.

Simon's Quest is the best one on NES by far. I owned all three, and Simon's Quest was the only one I completed as a kid. Not that I felt like 3 was bad, I just didn't like how it played.

Never really understood the hate. I blame AVGN. Before that video, I had no idea people even disliked it at all. Seriously, it is one of the most sprawling and mature themed NES games I had played in the 80s. Right up there with Zelda 2. There may have been some translation issues, but honestly, as a kid, I just assumed it was adult stuff that I wasn't understanding.

I still have my code from when I beat the game in 1989 (6 years old). Load it up and check it out. I was so young, I didn't realize you could level up in the game, so the health bar is still as small as possible. But I have all the items. Crazy stuff to see.
