Siouxsie and the Banshees - Cities in Dust

Wow it keeps happening, although I guess it's bound to, songs I've been listening to obsessively a few weeks/months ago end up on your list yet again. This time it's Cities in Dust and Cherry Waves.

The Lares Shrines are mentioned in the song Cities in Dust.

The Compitalia. The city of Rome was protected by a Lar, or Lares, housed in a shrine (sacellum) on the city's ancient, sacred boundary (pomerium). Each Roman vicus (pl. vici – administrative districts or wards) had its own communal Lares, housed in a permanent shrine at a central crossroads of the district.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing with most of the songs in the Truckin' streams but I haven't done it yet so I dunno lol. It's a little arduous since I have to search most of the songs with Shazam and the only way I can do that is by turning my headphones up to 100 and playing the stream with my phone on top.

@allthedinos: It's such a strong start to Leviathan. I popped in during break at work and randomly asked Alex his thoughts on Mastodon without realizing he played this earlier in the stream lol.

This makes me miss my drums. I need to go get them from my parents home. Great stream, greet selection of music.

@alex would you consider playing Inno a Satana by Emperor on one of these streams? That would make my day :]

Wow. I really like Tragic Kingdom, and it never occurred to me in all my times hearing it how complex the drumming is. Watching Alex play was really a treat. I know 0 about drumming, but it looked like he was working his ass off and using the whole kit. Pretty damn cool.

This seems like a playlist Alex would make and I approve of the bands that I know at least. A little surprised by the 80's songs but fun songs nonetheless.

Queens of the Stone Age took a while to grow on me much like Foo Fighters but I think I just realized it's because the lead instrument is the drumset on most of their early songs. Plus it helps the lyrics are pretty abstract as well.

Alex is my MVP of the Lockdown streams with his chill, enjoyable choices to rock out, truck, or dominate the world.

Get a directional mic that will mostly pick up only your voice, and only some of the sticks and banging of the drums. Then high pass filter and put a noise gate there and you should be good pretty to go.

Alex for certain putting out my favorite content during Lockdown. His drumming and trucking streams have been so relaxing and his staying upbeat during all thise has actually been giving me some very helpful mood boosts.

Another great stream. I hope you get the mic figured out though. I like hearing you actually hit the drum.
