While i prefer 80s Metallica, i still defend the opinion that they could have made 1 really good Album out of the Load/Reload material.

And speaking of King Diamond. I´m not that into Actionfigures but i have recently seen this, and it´s just to dumb/great to not consider buying -> King Diamond Figure

This is officially my favorite Alex stream.

I lost my dad to cancer last year in the middle of the pandemic, and was unable to fly back home for the funeral because of it. Thankfully I was able to see him a few months before and we were able to mend some wounds in the relationship and properly say goodbye. "His music" is one of the things that I remember most fondly of him, lots of good childhood memories of jamming to Metallica with him back in the early 90's while he got ready for work in the morning.

So this one sinks in a bit more emotionally for me than most other streams. Alex, you continue to rock. \m/

Fade to Black is such a fucking bop. The fact that there were maybe 2 or 3 whammies the entire stream speaks to how great Metallica was for such a long time, and no i don't join in with Alex's Social Distortion slander. Them dudes makes hot ass jams.

ALEX! You absolutely wrecked that Slayer man, absolutely shredded it. Love this segment! My favorite part about this stream is after nearly every song he just cries out for help XD

Thanks for putting in all that work especially "War Ensemble".

Whether they live up to the early albums or not Death Magnetic and Hardwired to Self Destruct should 100% be their own era and not lumped in with the Bob Rock era. They - especially Hardwired - mark a return to actual metal from the realm of shitty groove rock and pop-radio production. Hell, if Hardwired had been pared down to one album instead of two, I think it would stand shoulder to shoulder with the first four. Alas, it was a double album bloated - as double albums always are - with a full album’s worth of mediocre crud. Still despite their flaws these two albums are a return to form in many ways and hardly deserve to be loaded in with Load, et all.

How does Alex know whether the blue is for a cymbal or pad?

@orwellhuxzam: I don't. I'm mostly guessing, and usually guessing right. There are certain spots in a song you tend to hit a crash on, vs. one of the toms.

These songs bring me back. And Justice For All and Master of Puppets were some of the first CDs I bought when I was young.

Killer stream and set list, and boy is that Frantic song sure something.........

A lot of St. Anger kicks ass, and 100% of it should be 60% shorter. They got rid of solos, bit instead of doing anything instead of them, they just played each song three times in a row. I would love to see a Machete Cut of all of these songs that were cut down and remixed into something more palatable.
