I think I have come to the realisation what makes these streams so damn entertaining. It's not just truck sim (which is great) it's that it's the perfect delivery method for "Alex reacts to random music" which is a thing I didn't know I needed but VERY much do.

@alex Regarding your headlights, what you call your brights are actually your normal lights. And then what you think are your low-beams are just your cabin lights. That's why you were dinged with a headlight violation. If you want your actual high-beams, press the 'k' key. (or hold left on the d-pad when using the default controller configuration)

You can also customize your truck to have extra lights while in a service station, and you can configure those by pressing the pause button (not the menu, but the actual pause, which you reach with the select/options button on your controller). You can get a truly blinding floodlight setup if you really want. Illuminate the whole damn continent.

This is as much "We Be Thinking about Final Destination" as "We Be Truckin"

Alex, you owe my family an apology. Your streams have inspired me to buy the map DLC and get re-hooked onto this game. They'll lose me for a while as I zone out into the game. This is entirely on you. :-)

I have been successfully enveloped into getting Euro Trick Simulator 2...then immediately tempted to buy American Truck Simulator upon hearing Alex talk about recognizing roads he would drive down on the West Coast, and having grown up in Cali I can't not get that too.

I love the chill vibes of this series and the constant Wien-shouting made me laugh.

Hey @alex the double border checks happen on international borders like the Russia-Estonia one. The first check is the exit check from one country after which you enter a sort of no man's land between the two countries and finally on to the entry check of the next country. Essentially the same thing as when you get your documents checked when departing for an international flight and then once again when landing in the next country.

Inside the EU Schengen Area no such border formalities exist, as the whole of the EU and countries like Norway essentially have open borders between each other.

You probably knew most of this already, but just wanted to clear things up.
