On the live stream was the audio bugging out for anyone else? I was getting lots of pops and clicks.

@zevvion: not true. She just screamed for Elder Scrolls Online. You're the only person I've seen who is down on this lady, everyone else thought her positivity was infectious. Calm down man, people can be excited for stuff.

One of my issues with the first Dishonored was that all the options you got didn't feel justified by the difficulty and design of the game. What's the point of trip mines and possessing people and all that if blink + stab is easier and quicker?

I'm getting that vibe from Dishonored 2. A bunch of redundant ways to kill people that you'll do maybe once or twice just to see it then never again because the enemies are just fish in a barrel. It'd be incredible to play a stealth game where you really need to think and plan your way through situations using all your options but the AI is never good enough.

Nonetheless I'm excited to explore that world again.

@lelcar: Eh? I am calm. Also, she didn't only scream for ES Online? Did you not watch the video? She screamed at every little thing. She maybe skipped a couple things but not that many.

I get your point, I'm one of the few who gets annoyed by it. Message received. It's not weird I think it's out of place though.

E3 Hype Lady

The parts of the conference I liked the best included the Prey and Dishonored 2 segments. From Prey, that guy with the red eye in the mirror. That gave me goosebumps. And the new Dishonored just looks fantastic and crazy. Since Dishonored 2 is scheduled to come out in November, what a crazy month for gamers that will be.

I love that screaming lady. That's why I watch these things live.

Did they stream the blink show?

Man, I really hope they don't go with specialized characters/classes in the new Quake. Why is it so hard for the new "old school arena shooters" to get that what made the old ones so great was how all players had a level playing field?

@zevvion: I can see why you would think she was annoying, but at the same time, she was at it for only 10 or so minutes (as far as I noticed.) And that was a great material for the guys so, I think it was an acceptable distraction.

@whatshisface: I did notice that in this video her screaming is far less apparent because the dudes are talking over it. I saw the regular stream first and she's constantly going at it, not just during The Elder Scrolls. I had to pitch my audio down every time a video was fading out because the noise was so sharp. I guess listening with headphones on didn't help.

I loved Quake 4 but I realize now that I'm in the tiny minority.

I love hearing Stephen Russell's voice in that Dishonored 2 preview. He's been my favorite voice actor ever since the great work he did in the original Thief games. I'm always glad to see he's still getting work.

That Prey trailer is another helpful reminder that SHADOW MONSTERS ARE NOT AND HAVE NEVER BEEN SCARY

I'm tepid on Skyrim, but if there aren't too many games out at the time I might grab this.

I had to pause this video in order to download that DOOM demo. Good news! My budget ass gaming laptop can play DOOM (at low settings - but it still looks good).

Agreed, I thought it was hilarious. The "WHHAAAATTTT !?" part pretty much convinced me she was high as hell.

All I wanted is a new Elder Scrolls game, no interest in any of this.

Also Wolfenstein was so disappointing not having MP, it's the best thing about the series with RTCW on PC, my god that was amazing.

Wait, did Dan honestly not know what the term "fragging" meant? I can't even imagine him not and still working in Games journalism, but these days I just can't tell what magical things there are still to find out about the enigma that is DAN!

I GUARANTEE the 7 million "Active" players stat for ESO is complete BS. I'd bet 80% of those accounts are from "Free Play" weekends, are effectively defunct, barely touched, and/or repeat sign-ups. Plus the no monthly fee means anyone who ever made an account is probably considered "active".

New Order's singleplayer was fantastic. Also, a new Elder Scrolls was never going to be announced here. They are still doing Fallout 4.

@zevvion: Fallout 4 sucked, so did Fallout 3 to be fair, the only good modern one was New Vegas.

@nagafen: That's a different discussion. Fallout 4 has done very well in sales so there wasn't any chance they would drop it this soon.

I really liked Fallout 3 when it came out. I never played anything quite like it. In retrospect it seems like a giant world filled with garbage, but at the time I thought it was incredibly atmospheric. I did dislike Fallout 4 because it scratched a lot of basic concepts such as a day night cycle and the Hardcore-mode introduced with Vegas. It made it in finally a few weeks ago, but that's way too late. It should've had it at launch.

I am weirdly excited to play Skyrim again though. Which is indicative of how much I disliked Fallout 4, because I did like that setting better.
