My favorite part of the video is when Jeff finally gets to cut loose about Doom Eternal. You know something’s good when heaps praise on it. So looking forward to ripping and tearing in late November!

Did it seem kinda weird to anyone else that they had a guy on stage that literally said that his favourite thing are nukes? And that basically right after that they had a japanese developer walk out to present his game? I mean, I realize that he meant that in the context of the game of fallout 76 but that still felt a bit tasteless to me.

Listening to Jeff talk about Doom Eternal has put my fears to rest. He sounded super excited about all the changes and how it comes together.

Jeff NOT talking about Wolfenstein is the kind of content I can get behind (unironically)

@humanity: Seriously. Dude comes out on stage like, "hahaha, we deserved that! Boy-howdy, that was a rough one! Oopsies! Anyway, check out all these sad people with disabilities and people with depression and people of colour who love our games! We're just like you guys! We're pretty much the same people, and we love our games!"

What a disgusting angle to lean in to for the conference. I don't believe for a single second they would have highlighted that segment of their audience if it weren't for the mountain of shit they've been dragged through over FO76. The entire thing felt sleazy, to the point where it overshadowed everything except Doom.

And Orion? I know it's probably developed by the more technically-minded side of Bethesda, but I'm not putting a lot of stock into their prowess with middleware considering how BethSoft's games release. I'll believe it when I see it.

Jeff asks what they would have to do with Commander Keen to make it exiting. I think they should have looked to Rayman Origins and Legends for inspiration. I loved those games.

The microphones are extremely hot, as usual. What is it with the west coast and audio? It's always messed up.

Maybe it's because I haven't played 76 yet and that I'm one of the few that considers Fallout 4 the best in the series, but I'm really optimistic about 76's future. Hopefully, the quests/NPCs are engaging and not filler nonsense. Not exactly hyped for battle royale but I think it could be really cool how it would feed into persistent rewards, unlike in other games. In Apex and Fortnite you unlock skins, but if you can earn XP/gold/items in 76 that'd be a really great incentive and fun distraction from quests. Hopefully they improve the game, or at least make it more in line with Fallout 4 for those of us who enjoyed that one.

Are their mics blown out? Their audio levels seem..hot to say the least. It was the same way during the Microsoft conference.

People literally giving Todd Howard a standing ovation for just walking onto the stage. Wow.

If it wasn't for the excellent presentation of Doom Eternal, and the interest I retain for Wolfenstein, this would have been not just a forgettable conference but a grating and all time worst conference.

I could not hear or understand the poor guy who could not power through all of the fake "woos" that that one guy was doing, he was interrupting so often that I couldn't focus on the actual games. What a nightmare, and not the fun Doom kind!

Don't get me wrong, Deathloop could turn out to be an awesome game, but i'm surprised by the warm reception it gets based on this trailer. The whole 'two rivals chase eachother to murder eachother over & over & over' idea reminds me of playing games like UT, Quake or Timesplitters 1v1 and constantly having the opponent spawn in different parts of the map. You could make a cool game based on that concept, but it could be bad as well.

The video apology that was managed to not only not apologize but somehow make Bethesda the misunderstood victims of their own bullshit was grossly manipulative. And the crowd, my god, shut the fuck up.

Doom seems great.

The guy worshipfully screaming "THANK YOU" to the addition of basic gameplay mechanics to Fallout 76 is so very much wrong with corporate fandom.

And whoever's giving the crowd caffeine needs to dial it back. A lot.

Wow, Bethesda sure must spend a lot of money hiring people to cheer at their conference.
